Haven't posted here in a while so i have heaps to write

Just finished 'Bones of the Hills' by Conn Iggulden. The third in his Conquerer Series depicting the Rise of Genghis Khan, hs son Ogedia and grandson Kublia. The first two books beiong 'Wolf of the Plains' and 'Lords of the Bow'. I think Wolf of the Plains may be my favourite ever novel

Bernard Cornwell's 'Warlord Trilogy' entaioling 'The Winter King', 'Enemy of God' and 'Excalibur' with tells the story of 5th century Briain after the Romans abandoned it and the story of Arthur and his friend Dervel Cararn. Awesome Series.

David Gemmels Duology 'Loin of Macedon' and 'Dark Prince'. Telliung the story of the General Parmenion and his work for Sparta, Philip of Macedon and Alexander the Great. I loved the fisrt book but thought 'Dark Prince' while still good, went downlhill with the overuse of fantasy.

I re-read 'Gates of Fire' which was just as brilliant as i remembered.

David and Stella Gemmils 'Troy' Series which was fantastic. I loved every word of the series.

Bernard Cromwell first novel in his 'Grail' Series which was Vagabond, telling the story of Thomas of Hookton a English longbowmen in France and the battle of Crecy.

The first two novels by William Napier on Attila the Hun, which to be honsest is not as good as i expected.

I have just begun Conn Iggudlen's 'Gates of Rome' the first of 4 books on Julius Caesar.

I also have Stephen Pressfields 'Tides of War' to read.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.

I'm reading "Neverness" by David Zindel and I am having a hard time really getting into it. I can't relate to nor do I particularly like any of the charactors and the main charactor who's perspective the book is written from is an ass. :?

There are alot of good things to be said about the book. It's interesting but I'm just not feeling the charactors that much. Soli is a psycho, Bardo is a wuss, Justine is kinda pathetic, Mallory is an ass and his mother is meh with a touch of creepy.

So how far have you read?

And I won't much argue with your feelings about the characters.

I'm on page 203.
Spoiler
Mallory is talking to the guy who's been excised from the Alaloi tribe and lives in the small tiny cave deep in the back of the main cave. He's telling him about freeing the bird and pissing off Yuri and showing him the stinky rotting stomach.

HOLEY MOLEY!!!! I just got a call from B&N! TtH is in! I checked the release with them a few times, and it was the 16th. But it's there for me now! Hopefully I'll get it tonight, but might have to wait for morning.

Enjoy Fist.
Now to see how long my hold at the library for Beorn and Hyperception takes. At least for TtH I'm number one in the queue.

I've just read Tim Winton's "Breathe". I've been a Winton fan for about 8 years. His stories are brilliant and totally engaging and his writing style is to die for. He's #2 on my favourite authors list. Couldn't put this one down. Highly recommended!
