The head of my department counts people on/off, but last time we were two people short he just said "Hmm. We're two people short. Oh well, let's go." Off we went. 8O

Elat, Israel, on the shore of the Red Sea.
...or would the shore of the Dead Sea be further from Florida?

So. . . Where is the farthest from home you've ever been?
Sometimes, home has been the farthest away. Other times, it's the only place I feel like I belong.

1. Get through Czech class tomorrow. (Hopefully I did the homework correctly...)
2. Make a batch of yogurt this weekend.
3. Lose at least another 5 lbs before this WW session ends in November.

Three long-term goals?

3. Bask in the glory of accomplishing my long term goal

Three mid-term goals?

Do you have a poster of your favorite band hanging in your home? If so, describe it and if there is any kind of special story about it. If no, why not?

In the mid-70's, when I was a kid, I got a Rush poster just like that one. By the time I moved out of my parents house, it was long gone, however. In the early 90's, the girl who cleaned our office (boss's daughter) noticed I was a Rush fan, and told me she had an old poster she didn't want to keep anymore and that's the poster she gave me. Of course, I wasn't able to display it until I got divorced 4 years ago, but now I can and do.

Is there anything you have like my poster that your spouse won't let you display? (refrain from body parts, please)

There were some nude sketches I wanted to display in our living room that my husband wouldn't let me display. He thought it was inappropriate for our son to look at them, as well as others who came into our home. I am of the mind that it's art, not pornography, and has innate beauty in it.

What is the geekiest/nerdiest/dorkiest piece of music you own? (Can be in any form of music: mp3, CD, cassette, 8-track, Vitrola, etc.)

The alarm clock rings. I slap it. Five minutes later, the alarm clock rings. I slap it again. Repeat several times, then proceed to either (a) or (b). (a) Go for a 1-2 mile walk, get ready for breakfast, eat breakfast, go to class. (b) Roll out of bed just in time to get ready for breakfast, eat breakfast, go to class.

What would you like to do but are too afraid to do it?

Skydiving. I bet it would be so much fun, but I am too chickenshit to do it.

Funny thing about pillows in this house. Seems like every time I buy a couple of pillows to keep for guests, one of the girls goes "oooh!" and it disappears into their room, never to return. :(

Oh, *my* pillow. I sleep on two, medium density (I'm a side sleeper), fiberfill (I'm allergic to feathers).

Since we're discussing bedding: blanket or comforter?
