Neither. He is a zombie.

Is Obama's cat alive or dead?

Obama has a cat? That is news to me. :P

What shampoo do you use, and is there a special reason you chose it?

Suave, because it is cheapest at the stores I go to. My hair is hopeless anyway, so why waste more money than I need to?

I don't remember, our parents were friends and we were friends from babyhood until my family moved to a different state.

How did you meet your closest friend?

Yes.
While I don't use a sewing machine to create outfits or anything, I hand mend, hand quilt, and decorate doing hand embroidery.

Do you knit?

I used to crochet. I made a few Tom Baker Doctor Who-like scarves. I have a memory of being at a kegger and working on the scarf.

A Blu-ray player.

Do you wear a wristwatch, and if you do, is it a digital one or analog dial?

I used to always wear a wristwatch, but I don't anymore.

I am more of an eigenvalue and eigenvector guy (but I will often settle for an Eiger Sanction.)

At whose house do you have Thanksgiving dinner? (Non-US Watchers can substitute their favorite food-laden holiday.)
... nobody I know.

Passover seders...

(why do I have the feeling that's not what you meant by "holiday?") ;)

When would you prefer Winter Holiday commercialization and celebrating to begin? Is the day after Halloween for the start of the playing of Chr-stmas music good by you? Or should it wait until the week before American Thanksgiving, at the earliest?

~*~edited in acknowledgment that if the celebrating started right before Canadian Thanksgiving, it would begin even before Halloween~*~

Might as well continue with the early holiday frenzy. I'm so used to it that it would feel weird to be waiting until almost December for the Christmas sights and sounds to bombard me. I mean, we're having our local Santa Claus parade on November 15th. What the heck is Santa doing here in the middle of November? But hey, I'm cool with that.

Which is worse, driving in rain/sleet or driving in the snow?

heh...
This is something I honestly can not answer, having never driven in neither sleet nor snow.

Which frightens you more: Earthquakes, tornadoes, or hurricanes? And why?

Ha! I'll answer both of you! MM: The absolute worst is ice, because you have no traction. Rain can be tricky when it first starts and you get that oil slick thing goin' on. But snow and sleet don't bother me. Unless I'm driving in DC, that is -- then *any* precipitation bothers me because these idiots around here can't even freakin' drive on dry roads.

Menolly: I've never experienced an earthquake, but of the other two, I think tornadoes are the scariest to me. You can outrun a hurricane, if you're smart and you get out when they tell you to. But tornadoes can crop up pretty much without warning.

What's your favorite time of day, and why?

If it's the during the work week: from around 5:00 PM all the way until bedtime, because that's my free time to do whatever I want.

If it's the weekend: I cherish every minute of it.

If you want a really specific time of day: the "magic hour" -- that time just before sunrise and just after sunset when the quality of light is, well, magical.

What historical event would you love to be able to photograph?
