Feedback on a Strange problem

Post by Damelon »

Somehow my desktop, in the last couple of days, has suddenly begun to go to Google Deutchland when I do a google search.

A little more disturbingly, I can't log into my bank on my desktop - though I can on my laptop. It tells me that the answer to my security question is wrong - though the question is one that I wouldn't get wrong.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Give me your account number and the answer to your security question and I'll give it a shot.

You're not accessing over a wi-fi network are you?

If so, change everything now...pw/pin/everything. In the bank.

If not, I dunno...the google thing...do you use a proxy server to get online? Google sends you to where it thinks you're coming from. Even if I type in the .com address, I still get the .co.za page. Could be a proxy routing thing...Not sure.

The bank...well...maybe contact their support staff.

From the google page, click preferences, set your language to english. Hopefully that's all it is.

On the desktop, type the answer to the security question someplace visible, like notepad. Does it look like you expect?
