i think the soul is that glowy thing that makes you you. it's what defines the line between animal, mineral, and vegetable. of course, maybe vegetables have souls too, which allows them to be synthesized by our bodies and recognized immediately as good. it's what makes you be. any idiot can keep someone alive on a respirator for 20 years, but after a certain point the soul starts to disperse... souls are lively things, after all...

and i am cornbread, cabbage, blackeyed peas, and fall-aparty barbeque rib meat all mixed into a delightful, mushy, lava hot goulash... followed by a clementine. Clementines are awesome. I was four of them for lunch yesterday.

I always have to fall back on the "Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be changed from one form to another." Or whatever he correct quote is!
I can freak myself out for hours trying to imagine what it would be like to not exist.

And I am a toasted turkey and pepperjack sandwich.

Perhaps dieties are the exceptions to that rule. Perhaps they hold in their hands the Creation and Destruction of matter, and the world is powered by the fundamental and all-encompassing power of Change.
