Best of luck with new job Camerman Jenn 8)
Sorry to hear about your Mohawk Avatar :(

The good bit of news I got today came in the letter box a cheque for £600 from a client who owed it to me since last August . I was about to send over the heavies to get it.

Get em Danlo!

Bummer, Av.

Now, Jenn, you tell them at work that you need internet access. Tell them that you have some important people to consult with.

Actually it was Tam's bankcard they were using and a sixth transaction was for 240 bucks but it was declined. They started using it at 10:30 last night-and the bank CS rep said "You know if you let your card out of your sight for just 5 seconds someone can take a phone photo of the front and back." 8O Our acct. will be fine but I hope Apple, BankofAmerica and the FBI hunt down the scum.

Speaking of scams is anyone familiar with Food&Flix.com? Some how they have our card # and have been charging us 2 dollars a month and we've not even members. Any one know who they are associated with and how they would get it? Anyway the bank is reimbursing us for those and I've just sent them a nasty email...

Give 'em hell, danlo! I don't use credit cards, but use debit all the time. Stories like yours make me just that bit more paranoid.

Very good, Cleburne! Not that you care, but that would be $1,101 Canadian dollars. That would be a nice payday!

No worries nice to know Matrixman I have a cousin over in Canada at the moment studying in Toronto so i,m trying to keep an eye on her out there hopefully you nice Canadians will take care of her.
As for the $1,101 pay day I made the mistake of telling the finance and she told me to put it straight into the wedding fund. :-x I was about to join a local golf club for £276 for one year membership. Me and my big mouth.
Glad you are getting your money back Danlo over here its a bit more tricky to get the full amount back after card fraud.

Bingo. And for some reason it's been hurting me more than usual the past couple days. My husband's theory is that something moved when the doctor manipulated my knee to demonstrate my disorder for a medical student and than let the medical student try it.

At least my surgery is scheduled now. But it's not for a month. :(

Poor MsMary! Bloody med students... :x

It's five freakin' degrees Farenheit outside! 8O That's the coldest it's been here in greater DC in, like, years. We are soooo not equipped to deal with this....

The good news is that the temps should moderate a titch just in time for the big inaugural festivities to gear up on Sunday. The tourists have already begun descending -- so not only is it freakin' cold, but we've got out-of-towners clogging up the subway's express turnstiles and standing on the left on the escalators again. To make things even more interesting, the Secret Service has decided that Virginians are way too dangerous to be allowed into DC on Tuesday -- they're going to close the two main arteries into the District *and* all the bridges coming from Virginia. They *have* relented enough, however, to allow DC hospitals to run shuttle buses for their employees who live in Virginia; there was some concern that if those folks couldn't get to work on Tuesday, emergency services could be compromised. Thank the gods our office is closed on Tuesday. Four-day weekend, whoo hoo!

Wow, I didn't even think what a frickin' nightmare it must be in DC as a commuter just trying to get to work. You have my pity, Aliantha.

Thank you sir! :)

When the Inauguration Day road closures were announced about a week ago, the Washington Post characterized it as, "Secret Service to Virginia: Drop dead."

hehehehe...I love that! Glad you've got a 4 day weekend though, Aliantha. Enjoy it!

Me. I'm in "meh" mode. I really can't be bothered doing anything and have heaps of things to do. Procrastination city! And I sent Mr Seareach along with SoS to a kiddies birthday party today because I couldn't bear the thought of going (for reason I won't get into) so he was (instead of being Mr Seareach) Mr Cranky Pants this morning. Divorce here I come! :P

With nine days left in Washington, today may very well be my last chance to enjoy perfect Washington weather. It's 60 degrees outside and sunny and perfect and everything that I love about my state.

And I'm inside. Packing. Because I didn't finish it while it was foggy and cold and lame outside.

I feel poopy.

Edit:
Not the Mohawk, Av!! Anything but that!
