And depends very much on the timezone you set the board to display I suspect. :D Guess who uses the GMT display huh?

How do I feel? Bah. Interviews. I hate them. One tomorrow, one Monday, one Tuesday.

Best of luck to Av on his job interviews. :D

Huggles to those suffering maladies (Covjr, Mysteweave, Magickmaker, and any others I may have forgotten). Get well soon! |G

We're having awful weather, and my boss is saying he recommends that I go home. So yay for only working 2.5 hours today!

Crap. I really screwed up, and I don't know how I can fix it.

I've been feeling sort of withdrawn and down -- and now I feel even worse at the news of John Updike's death. He is my favorite novelist and his work has touched me in the most profound way. He lived around half an hour from me and I had hoped very much to meet him. America lost its greatest living novelist today and I'm upset by that.

Good luck with the job interviews, Av.

I'm about to leave work and go home. Which would be lovely if I didn't have a hormone-frenzied 12-year-old step daughter to deal with. :?

Well I am rocking and rolling in the new job. My techs all have little crushes on me as well as the guys from John's Jaguar. They think it's funny that I sing along with the radio badly but uninhibitedly. I gave them a special treat today with my horrific sarcastic Axl Rose imitation. Now they want to take me out to karaoke just for laughs. One of my techs, Ed sings me love songs whenever I come near him and he insists on driving me home each night because he says he can't stand the thought of me waiting alone at a bus stop on Mission St in the dark. It's very sweet.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Brrr USA! we're at a balmy 27 right now and going to hit a tropical 50 later--I hear most of the nation is going to stay below freezing-ice storms, major power outages, 19 dead. *curse word*

There was a good quarter-inch of ice on my car this morning. And our firm didn't do the two-hour delay thing, so I had to be here on time. But the good news is that the federal gummint *did* do the two-hour delay thing, and almost all the schools were closed -- so once I slip-slid to the car, chipped the windows clear, and got out onto the main roads, the rest of the commute was a breeze.

Today I feel honored that Aliantha directed some of her sweetness at my newly budding family. Thanks again!

I slept wrong and now my neck is very sore. I need a massage. :(

Boo to the bad weather. . . hope it clears up quickly for all of us battling slushy roads and single-digit windchills.

Hugs to LM and to Owlie. |G

And yay to Jenn for charming the office techies. . . though this comes as no surprise to anyone who knows you. You have an inner beauty and joie de vivre that is contagious. :)

Whew. Busybusybusy. But the library is good beyond my wildest wishes. I finally feel like I'm doing something valuable with my time. And it's nice to have bennies and a set schedule. No more being sent home early! WOO!

Glad that you're enjoying the job Balon! :D

I am having a "small" bbq tonight with some friends (of course, in a small country town people generally then go "Oh, can I invite so and so who you vaguely know but who I know..." blah blah = 11 adults and 7 kids.

I've been keeping busy with play-dates at Chuck E. Cheese's (because it's free), I'm doing well in school (got 100 on my Medical Terminology test w00t!), and tomorrow I'm meeting with the college activities director to start a literary magazine. I'm really excited about it!

Still no jobs for the hubs, even though he's been applying to places like crazy. Unemployment is only covering less than half of our monthly income, and if he gets a part-time job he can't make more than $2.92 an hour. I'm not sure if that also includes me working part-time.

BLARGH.
