It looks like I'm one of the oldsters here, at least among those that answered. 48 last Nov. so the big "49" coming up at the end of this year. Whoopie.
I really can't think of any age range that I'd like to return to. I'm certainly anticipating the "empty nest" syndrome. Bring it on!

Born in the same year as me then, Dilly. My birthday just passed, where I hit 49.

I also "love" every child of every mother...yet by the time my youngest (only one at home with me) is 18, it will be 26 years that my own life has been devoted to raising my children to be competent adults.
At this stage of my life, nothing has felt more compelling than FREEDOM!!!

I just turned 30...I'm starting to feel old, my bodies breaking down, my gut is "staying" like those words in Dark Crystal...I'm not as pretty as I used to be...I just turned 30...

...and this is nothing 'cause in Raver years, I'm 30,000 years old...but I can't seem to remember back very far...memory must have started going a long time ago...

Looks like I am at the elder end of the KW demographic. I read the just-released 1st Chrons at part of my return to pleasure-reading after graduating from university.

Still getting new insights from them, thanks to all of you...

That's exactly why I'm leaning more and more towards not having kids.

While one does grow tired of the restrictions imposed by raising offspring and dream of the freedom that will return when they are out on their own, raising them is often more meaningful than anything else one is doing with life and time.

It is also the only way to get the grandchildren that are one's payback for all the tribulations of raising the parents of those grandchildren.
Love prevails.

When I joined, I was only just within the lower boundary of the age group, and in a couple of years I'll have exited the other end. 8O

My age group too has changed since the start of the poll. Maybe we should start a new one, so we can all be accurately represented...?

I've suggested this several times and was always ignored, so I gave up suggesting it.

My suggestion is, Just do it!
