British and Irish Lions tour of South Afica - Rugby Union.
What an enthralling first test.
Five more minutes and the Lions would have stolen in I think.
Finished 26 -21 to the Boks, but I think that the next test will be even more hotly contested.
Got to give it to the Boks, they were AWESOME in the first half. Think their lack of competitive fixtures showed in the last 20 minute to let the Lions back into the game.
Can't wait for the 2nd test. Pity there's no Scots in the test team yet though.

Agreed i went to pub for 2nd half and it was a great comback , I think the Lions shot themselves in the foot in the first half but all the cahnges they made made a big difference especially taking off Vickery whom was terrible in the front row which helped to give 3 penalties to the Boks.Phantasm wrote:What an enthralling first test.

I reckon they have a chance ,mind the pundits are all talking about the alltitude might affect the Lions, mind you cant remember where the final 2 tests are

Yes to many injuries during the game to key players and a silly penalty given away at the last minute They kinda let South Africa back into the game , it was a pity it kinda takes the gloss of the last game having lost the series already.

I love a good match between Southern and Northern Hemisphere teams. Though the Australia versus France series wasn't nearly so enthralling.
It's very hard to beat the home team, but geez, the Lions came close!

I think Cleburne has the right of it. (Though I've been too wrapped up in the AFL final series to keep up with the Rugby, lately.)
