A Creator's Club. That's awesome! How do I join?

I do remember the Creator (don't recall when) mentioning something to TC about creation and creators (plural) and the fickleness of Creators. Perhaps he was alluding to the Club :D

*bump*

Feeling nostalgic today, I've been laying here reading some old threads. This one was fun, so I thought I would bump it up. Can't believe I've been here for six years.

I really miss Sky...
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~

~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

The Land wasn't real. It 'became' real as a necessity with the 2nd Chrons.

The Land became real the moment Donaldson wrote from someone other than Covenant's point of view. (I think it was Mhoram's.)
Stone and Sea are deep in life,
two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.

I sort of agree with Earthfiend. I've just re-read the first Chronicles, and it really DID give the strong impression that the Land has a genuine life of its own when SRD follows Mhoram's thoughts in TPTP for a fair while before the (failed) attempt to summon Covenant is even made. And Mhoram's arc remains essentially separate for the reast of TPTP.

Thanks, Loremaster! I feel rich. (*Runs off to store*)

I've been re-reading the Chronicles, oh, ten years or so after the first time. I'm finding that there's' a lot more I can appreciate now (not that they weren't awesome then) and lo, when I went looking for Chronicle-related stuff on the Web, Google did summon me here.

It wouldn't matter, any perspective in the Land is within Thomas' head, therefore he can experience any character's perspective as they are all parts of his psyche or imagination, his dilemmas and struggles.

Of course the Land isn't real, it's a book =P

Linden should have quailed. His certainty was as bitter as the touch of a Raver: it should have defeated her. But it did not. How often had she heard Lord Foul or his servants prophesy destruction, attempting to impose despair? And how often had Thomas Covenant shown her that it was possible to stand upright under the weight of utter hopelessness?

It was done on purpose to have a reason for this web site to exist. :)
Heard my ears aright? Did not the gaddhi grant me this glaive?
