It is a great idea, lorin. It could inspire someone else to try it. Just not me (I'm a champion procrastinator).

I've learned long ago not to drink and type, or in this case, perc and type. I always regret afterward having hit the send/submit button.

Anything particular, Cov?

I've only shelved two carts and the lib today, and people are already in a crappy mood. Is politeness really that hard to manage? urk.

Yes I do, but I can't say. I just needed to release some tension. I probably shouldn't have said anything at all.

I feel very strange, and very cold, and very tired. And for the first time ever, I fell asleep whilst reading an interesting fantasy novel (Patricia McKillip, at that). I never fall asleep while reading, unless it's homework--reading wakes me up usually. I hope this is just a side effect of the Benedryl, and not the beginnings of being ill.

stress maybe? or change of seasons? sounds like the perfect time for ginger tea and a roaring fire (preferably in a fire place :D )

I certainly hope it's something like that, and not a cold or some other illness. I'm drinking tea (a combination of black tea and mint) and trying to get some work done, and I will hopefully turn in early. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend.

Feeling excited today, only one and a half days to go at work, then off on our holidays to Cape Town on Sunday.

It sounds to me like you won't say.

I find having a good wank usually does the trick.

I just found out I have a meeting about my dissertation progress on Monday. I haven't done enough. Panic.

Well, at least you know what you're doing this weekend, CovJr. But seriously -- good luck!

My weekend: Tomorrow morning, Czech class, for which I have barely started the homework. Tomorrow afternoon, the ex-husband's wedding. 8O My class overlaps the ceremony (too bad, huh?) but I said I'd go to the reception.

I've promised myself lunch today at the Cuban place in compensation. And on Sunday, I plan to sleep....

:LOLS: Pity it's 1,000 miles away. Weather there has been a bit lousy lately though...hang on...

You're lucky. :D Forecast for sunday is clear min 16°C max 24°C. Rest of the week forecast to be no higher than 20°C though, and usually a bit less. Take a jersey. ;)

(Say...doesn't the missus's family live in the winelands or something? Lucky bastard. ;) )

20C? Jesus, thats shorts and t-shirt weather.

And yes, wineland counrty (well, Somerset West) so not too far for the wine farms.

Got a wedding at Erinvale too, and a 70th birthday party the day after.

Oh well, the liver is an evil organ and must be punished.

Also going to Durban for a long weekend(without the kids  ) Party time with the Bro-in-law and his fiancee.

Thank God the wife's doing all the packing.

 Sounds like you're gonna have fun, Phantasm! I would've thought next summer would have been a more appropriate time to visit relatives in SA though?

I'm strangely content. Had a really fun night last night and I got to use one of my favourite jokes in context. We had a Spanish friend visiting, with her new (less than a week) husband, who's Mexican.

Why did the Mexican throw his wife off the cliff?

Today I feel ugh. Sinus headache, tired, less than 2GB of free space left on my C drive, spiritual confusion, a ton of boring stuff to get done, etc. Even Facebook is telling me to just go to bed.

Other than that, I feel great.

I'm currently avoiding a mountain of dishes on the sink. I think I might be able to avoid them until tomorrow night at least. ;)

Other than that, I just became a godmother again. This time it's a boy. . . 9lbs and 21 inches long. And no one suspected he would be so big. Anyhow, he's adorable, and I think he looks like my best friend, so bonus on that. :)

We just got DSL installed yesterday, and currently the computer resides in the bedroom. My husband is trying to take a nap, and is getting grouchy about the typing. Gotta go. . . see all of you later! :D
