It's been [mumblemumble] years since I picked one up, but I was fencing champion of my high school...where foil was the only option offered.

To the best of my knowledge, no photos have survived. There isn't anything in the yearbook, and I don't have one in my collection.

It's a pity you haven't practiced so long. I started training last year and I love it.
@ Menolly: My club has its internet presentation,and I think there are some photos there if you're interested

To tell you the truth I never really gave it much thought, but learning the art of poking someone with a pointy stick sounds like it could be fun.

Hehe,not only that
Judging from what my friends told me about other types of swords,a good ol' two-handed sword sounds like fun
Though it takes at least 2 years of practice with foil and sabre to get to it.

I didnt take fencing lessons but i do have a Samurai Sword..make unknown and customized by myself... the handle anyway, ..my friend got it for me from Korea, and i have another sword that is blunt edged but has a very sharp tip, im not sure of its origin either but it looks like something that sinbad and the seven seas, from those old movies would carry.

)
Another of our members however, Nav, is/was/has been a serious competition fencer though. He's around every now and then.
