Just finished Robin Hobb's The Dragon Keeper. Good stuff, but the original novel being split into two volumes means that this one is just one big introduction, with all the juicy stuff reserved for Dragon Haven.

Check the blog for the full review. :)

During my re-read of Cryptonomicon I realised how much I like Stephenson and ordered the Baroque Cycle.

Started Quicksilver now. The size of the books is daunting, though.

Well, I'm just about done with The Dying Earth by Jack Vance.

Now on Eriksons "Dust of Dreams".

Just finished the excellent Subpress double-feature of Alastair Reynolds' Thousandth Night and Minla's Flowers. One of my favorite reads of 2009, no question!

Check the blog for the full review. :)

Lol. I know this part of the forum is not for Donaldson but I'm in the middle of reading Lord Foul's Bane. You asked what I was reading :-D/ I think its my 6th reread but that might be lower. I have decided for another reread as I have bought the two newer books from the Last Chron's so I am excited to start from the beginning again.

Well, the whole forum is here because of SRD, so it's perfectly appropriate in this thread. :D

on my third read through of Robert Jordan's "The Gathering Storm". Wow. Quality in the series peaked with Lord of Chaos, and Path of Daggers just abysmally SUCKED...Crossroads of Twilight was adequate, Knife of Dreams was good....Storm? as good as Fires of Heaven or Eye do the World, in my opinion.

Anyone else?

But I have been reading the Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends trilogies. They have been quite entertaining light reading for me and will look further into the series in the near future.

Just finished Lev Grossman's unoriginal The Magicians.

Good for the morning commute or the airport, that's about it.

Check out the blog for the full review. . .
