Thank you for the sympathy and getting my back with your fierce attack. Wells Fargo is going to help me fix it all but it's a pain and will take days to get my money back and I need to go fill out paperwork and so forth and yes, change all my accounts and get new checks and all that crap. Luckily I'm resilient so I've already gone from WTF to the crying why me phase to anger to the ok, just another problem to deal with phase of acceptance. To make matters worse financially though, if my direct deposit did go through it means it will reject and I probably wont' get a paycheck until the next payday and I am already significantly late on my rent. But it is what it is. I will get it all worked out. On the bright side of the day, I got to give a no reason but friendship and caring present today, I got to fuzz a gorgeous black lab/guide dog named Acura, I had a bunch of fun on the radio towards the end of the day at work. I got a bit silly in the latter part of the day and was saying, "I can help the next contestant on which register is right" to the people in line which made a lot of them laugh. I also can't complain about being employed, surrounded in my life by awesome people and having it way better than half the people I walk past on my way through my life in the city. What doesn't kill you just makes you stronger.

Oh man, Jenn, that sucks. Hope it all works out relatively painlessly for you. |G

Good to know about those convenience ATMs, too. I had an issue over the summer at one at a Celtic festival -- the machine malfunctioned and didn't give me any cash, but charged my account anyway. Luckily it was just the one charge and Citibank gave me the money back right away. But I will definitely avoid using them in the future.

Very sorry to hear about this, CMJ. :(

Once Sorus is finished with the bastards, send them my way. Hey, better yet, deliver them to Cail's woodchipper.

And thanks too for the tip about convenience store ATMs. I haven't used one in years, but I'm definitely not touching them now.

Ok. So I learned something more. I had a great pep talk with Danlo on the phone, Lady Tam too and I thought, I should go let the guys at the store know so I walked to the store and told the guy who is the son of the owner and apparently this is the SECOND time they have had this happen. He put an out of order sign on the atm and will call the company in the morning. Last time was four months ago, about a week after they first had the atm installed. WHY is this not national news? EVERYONE, SERIOUSLY, DO NOT EVER EVER EVER use non bank private ATMs. Why are there NOT outraged threads about this in the tank? According to the Wells Fargo guy they rip the money as much as they can for a limited time, like six hours, send it offshore and delete the account. They hack in through a series of places so it's pretty much untraceable then Wells Fargo has to give me back my money and then put in for their money back from the private company who then gets covered by insurance. OH wait. Why didn't I come up with this? It's brilliant. Who has the hacker know how? Hook me up!

Hell yes. :D Annual leave. However, I gather that we don't really get to take leave during the rest of the year...have to take it all when the company closes. I'm not complaining. :D Especially since I've only been here 5 months, so wouldn't have accrued a full leave cycle anyway.

Put together the facts I dont like shopping for clothes nor cold it could be interesting. I wonder what the chances of hibernating for the next 3 months are?
Let me know if you find out... maybe we could start a petition for Hibernation Leave. I don't shop for clothes unless it's absolutely necessary.
 How I wish! Failing that I think we should all just vote on working in the Maldives or somewhere for half the year.

Sorry to hear about all the hassle you are going through Jenn *hugs* :(

Well, that concludes my work for the year. Now it's holiday time.

I gotta say I'm loving my job. Not only have I got the leave, but I got a full 13th cheque, and Christmas presents.

And you know what they gave me?

Dust of Dreams and a gig of RAM. How awesome is that?

Arg. Decided tonight to watch a torrent of the latest Harry Potter film. Got one hour twenty minutes into it, and it stops working; there's no picture or sound in the full second half of the file.

(Issue is not with the source.)

I think I'm losing my mind. I dreamed of my day off, Had brunch with Heatherly, did laundry, read my book and woke up and got in the shower and was getting ready to go to work when I realized it is still Sunday. It is still Sunday right? My computer says so. I haven't slipped into the twilight zone again have I? I am not dreaming that I dreamed my day off and really had my day off and now am late for work or anything am I?

Jayne, the man they call Jayne

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne

Our Jayne saw the mudders' backs breakin'
He saw the mudders' lament
And he saw the magistrate takin'
Every dollar and leavin' five cents
So he said "you can't do that to my people"
He said "you can't crush them under your heel"
So Jayne strapped on his hat
And in 5 seconds flat
Stole everythin' Boss Higgins had to steal

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne

Now here is what separates heroes
From common folk like you and I
The man they call Jayne
He turned 'round his plane
And let that money hit sky
He dropped it onto our houses
He dropped it into our yards
The man they called Jayne
He stole away our pain
And headed out for the stars

He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne.

I'm thinking of recording Quint's speech as my aoarml
