Been a bit of a rollercoaster, these past ten years. Did some travelling, changed jobs a few times, joined the Watch, found out about the last chrons, lost some family members, just life in other words. Still here and going strong though... ;)

Incredibly, in the last decade I appear to have aged ten years.

Felt the collapse of the Twin Towers, and the aftermath that changed the world we live in.
Met and shacked up with my now wife, and mother of my children.
Joined a Rock Band, and then quit to start one of my own.
Wrote somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 original songs.
Discovered the Watch.
Realized that I was only human after all, not immortal, untouchable, and perfect.
Learned to listen, instead of just waiting for my turn to speak.

I was 10 years old when this decade started. Lost my Uncle to AIDS in 2001, gained five new brothers and 3 new sisters between the years of 2004-2007. Grew up watching the wonderful works of my mother and hope someday to be the woman she is. Graduated high school and started college. Met my awesome fiance Myles.

And now, as a new decade begins, I'll turn 20 in July. I watch my mother struggle through cancer and pray that she will be here for my wedding and for the birth of my children. My mother is my inspiration, her faith and strength astounds me.
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

2000-2009:

- began wearing contacts

- blown away by Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring

- bought my first (and only) cellphone

- SRD, Last Chronicles and all that jazz

- began attending great local folk music festival

- passion for photography re-ignited

- bought my first digital camera

- found and lost my literati fellowship
