If you haven't already, see my latest in Court regarding my thoughts on that...

No, Vashitva's done, by my wish and Xar's good grace.
I wasn't really happy with the character and tried to change things up with her to make her more interesting, all to no avail. I didn't want to end the game like Balon! or stop playing. Hence, a new character.
So, I'm starting fresh. Although the attack against Mox was not intended as suicide for Vashitva (I really thought I'd win!), Mox just had the luck of the dice and he defeated her.
However, Menolly is correct. If any story is to be told, it should be by Mox or Xar.
Arcadia will have a new story to tell.
But, I hope it isn't confusing using the same login. All Vashitva's/Calais' posts have become Arcadia. heh.

The King has one more move.
Speaking as someone who joined the game later, and had to read all the backstory at once... changing the name of a login can get really confusing. Like... I kept wondering who Calais was, when it was clearly Vashitva who'd been posting. And now that same login is a whole new character. Same for 'Deva, come to think of it.Arcadia wrote:Speaking of which, it is so much easier just to alter a character I already have rather than begin an entire new one. I've run out of email addresses and Pam's trick never worked for me. heh
Now that I'm all caught up, it isn't a problem. But it took me like 10 pages of reading to figure out what was going on.

Well, I'll say here what I said in the Court.caamora wrote:No, Vashitva's done, by my wish and Xar's good grace
Surely if Vashitva was subject to deicide, we would see that reflected in her statistics.
I suspect...
...pending the victor's desires on what Vashitva's fate should be...
...that we may have yet another NPC on our hands.
And not apparently as friendly an NPC as Halideva...

That quote is actually from the Song of Solomon. It was so beautiful and fit so perfectly to the story that I used it.Oh My Goodness!
Have you ever heard Daniel Pinkham's Wedding Cantata?
It uses these and other verses from the Song of Songs.
I only have heard of one recording of it, and that is a recording of the high school chorus group I was in performing it at competition years ago. There are probably better performances, but I have us performing it uploaded on mediafire. So, in case you would like to hear it.
Wedding Cantata
The entire piece is eight minutes long.
But the verses you quoted is at the very beginning.

The King has one more move.

In Judaism we call that megillah (scroll) interchangeably the Song of Solomon or the Song of Songs (Hebrew title שיר השירים, Shir ha-Shirim). My preference is for the second, Shir ha-Shirim, hence me using Song of Songs here. One of my favorite parts of the TANACH.
And I agree completely.
It worked perfectly within your tale.

A, you ever track down those maps? I'm finding a strong need to see things over time. (Though, that turn 6 map I was given already was actually VERY helpful.)Avatar wrote:Maybe, but yours loads in 1/100th of the time. The Numen wrote:Though, Photobucket probably has a much slicker interface than I do, come to think of it.Will take a look over the weekend, see what I've still got. Perhaps the greatest moment of my life came when I came home from work one evening, and the girlfriend was playing Diablo II. It was then that I knew I had her wrapped around my finger. I eventually married her.Stonemaybe wrote:Once, and only once, I attempted to describe Pantheon to my other half. Bummer.
I could really have used those, I think.
Ah well...
