Yeah, if you like Snatch, you should like Lock, Stock. It's directed by the same guy and is about bumbling criminals. Same quick humor and snappy lines. :)

It's official, I'm not the only one around here who likes Boxing Helena. That was a daring movie with brave performances.

Eraserhead lurks among my top fifty. Saw it not that long ago, and in that time has really grown on me.

My favorite five:

2001: A Space Odyssey - peerless, profound science fiction movie making.
Unforgiven - singly made the Western a potent and meaningful genre for me
Waking Life - for confused or undecided souls like me wandering through life.
Before Sunrise - touching, saccharine-free ode to love, Vienna and middle-of-the-night walkabouts
Koyaanisqatsi - I think of it as the greatest feature length music video ever made

Cool. I'll be on the lookout for it.

'When Does Cry'? Does he mean 'When Doves Cry'? If so, he's really off his game today. Too much scandalousness, I suppose......

It is a scandalous song, if used correctly. You should try being on a game, yourself. Does wonders!

It appears I've reached a crossroads. I'm not sure what to do. Do I continue to compliment Kay? Do I continue to play word games with Foul? Do I, as the mod of this forum, give myself a stern warning about posting off-topic detritus? This is vexing indeed.

Oh well, go with what you know, I always say.

New novel title, or 'Novel new title'?

Wait; no, I've got it. Title dove, or 'Turtle dove'?

Nah, that's not right....gimme a minute.......

Kay, your avatar is particularly.....no, been there, done that............

Wait, I'm the mod here! You people need to stay on topic!

Yeah, that's the ticket.

I hate these things! We'll see what just isn't springing to mind right this second.

The Adventures of Robin Hood
Amadeus
Arthur
Billy Jack
Braveheart
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Chariots of Fire
Circle of Iron
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Jeremiah Johnson
Kill Bill
The Matrix
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Princess Bride
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Time Bandits
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

Both very fun movies; though not among my favorites, I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Do I detect some jealousy here? Don't worry, Foul, you know dAN will always love you

LF may not be able to hear over the sound of his "Raspberry Beretta". Y'know, the kind he found at a second-hand store. *slaps knee*

Kaydene's ship streaks through the trench of the Foul Star.
She looks into the targeting device, then starts at a voice she hears.

LORIN'S VOICE: Use the Wild Magic, Kaydene.

Kaydene looks up, then starts to look back into the targeting device. She has second thoughts.

LORIN'S VOICE: Let go, Kaydene.

A grim determination sweeps across Kaydene's face as she closes her eyes and starts to mumble Lorin's training to herself.

VADER: The Earthpower is strong with this one!

Vader follows Kaydene's X-wing down the trench. Kaydene looks to the targeting device, then away as she hears Lorin's voice.

LORIN'S VOICE: Kaydene, trust me.

Kaydene's hand reaches for the control panel and presses the button. The targeting device moves away.

INTERIOR: REVELSTONE -- WAR ROOM.

Menolly and the others stand watching the projected screen.

BASE VOICE: (over speaker) Her computer's off. Kaydene, you switched off your targeting computer. What's wrong?

KAYDENE: (over speaker) Nothing. I'm all right.

REVELSTONE INTERCOM VOICE: The Foul Star has cleared the planet. The Foul Star has cleared the planet.

INTERIOR: FOUL STAR -- CONTROL ROOM.

The Despiser glares at the projected target screen.

FOUL STAR INTERCOM VOICE: Revelstone base, in range.

LORD FOUL: You may fire when ready.

FOUL STAR INTERCOM VOICE: Commence primary ignition.

Kaydene's ship barrels down the trench. Vader takes careful aim on her fighter.

VADER: I have you now.

As Vader's center fighter unleashes a volley of off-topic laserfire, one of the TIE ships at his side is hit and explodes into flame.
Kaydene looks about, wondering whose on-topic laserfire destroyed Vader's wingman.
Vader is taken by surprise, and looks out from his cockpit.

VADER: What?

INTERIOR: MILLENNIUM FORESTAL -- COCKPIT.

Syl grins from ear to ear.

SYL: (yelling) Yahoo!

The Millennium Forestal heads right at the two TIE fighters.
Vader's wingman panics at the sight of the oncoming forestal ship and veers to one side, colliding with Vader's fighter in the process.
Vader's damaged ship spins out of control, heading for deep space.
Syl's ship moves in toward the Foul Star trench. Smiling, he speaks to Kaydene over his headset mike.

SYL: You're all clear, kid. Now let's blow this thing and go home!

Kaydene looks up and smiles. She concentrates on the exhaust port, then fires her white gold torpedoes.
The shots find their mark and head for the main reactor. Kaydene throws her head back in relief.

FOUL STAR INTERCOM VOICE: Stand by to fire. Stand by.

The Rebel ships race out of sight, leaving the moon-like Foul Star alone against a blanket of stars.
Several small flashes appear on the surface. The Foul Star bursts into a supernova, creating a spectacular heavenly display.

SYL: Great shot, kid! That was one in a million.

Kaydene is at ease, and her eyes are closed.

LORIN'S VOICE: Remember, the Wild Magic will be with you...always.

lmao.

I was seriously speed-reading through it, all intense-like, even though I've seen this scene a million times. :read:

It was awesome of you to type that out. You made my day. :)
