I'm not sure either! It's a word my mum used to use!

I am not a person that needs a lot of hugs and sympathy but I sure could use a few thousand hugs tonight, along with a shot gun and some valium. I cannot take these teens in my house anymore. I know they are foster kids, I know they are damaged, I know, I know. But I cannot take anymore.

Tonight was the last straw. I came home at 10 pm, go upstairs and there is vomit all over the hallway and two bedrooms. I have beige rugs and the stupid girl was drinking vodka and red wine. my carpets are ruined. Last week she announced she was pregnant and wanted to end her pregnancy. That was so hard for me since I always wanted kids. But I abided her decision. Tonight she is passed out drunk. Last month she punched and destroyed two doors, mailbox and the gutters because I gave her a curfew.

Last week I finally got her brother out of the house. He has Schizophrenia and wasn't bathing. He would wash the same outfit every day and put it on wet, and walk around town to dry it. He wore his leather coat inside out and shorts . He he talked to himself. My neighbors kept the kids away from him. I tried to get him supportive housing. Finally I rented him a room in a boarding house and got him to move out. (at 22)

I have had them for nine years and feel like they have sapped the life out of me. Im exhausted. I bought this stupid house so they could have a decent home. What a waste.

So tonight I gave her 15 bucks, told her to go stay with her sister and get the hell out of my house. I told her I will have the caseworker pick her up from her sisters house. She has only 3 months to finish highschool, I was tring to hang on but I cant do it anymore. So why do I feel guilty?

Please forgive me if I overstepped my bounds here. Just needed to talk.
The loudest truth I ever heard was the softest sound.

Ugh, lorin, what a mess. |G

Even raising a "normal" teen has its days of wanting to hand the kid cabfare and telling them to get the hell out. My kids were easy. I can't imagine what it must be like to raise a troubled kid -- and somebody else's troubled kid, at that.

Having a good visit with Batty and Shara_Lunison. We saw Cherish the Ladies in concert tonight as a St. Paddy's Day warmup. Heading home starting tomorrow. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed for an extended period of time...

I think in America we usually refer to them as gold diggers. But I prefer to refer to them as greedy twats.

lorin, you put up with all that craziness for nine years? Good heavens. I can't wrap my mind around it. Sending you good vibes, hugs and even a virtual cup o' coffee and Tim Horton's donuts if that'll help. Got nothin' else to say. Your story just floors me. :faint:

Sad to think that there is still nothing sexier than money. You can be the most decent, caring, intelligent human being, but if you don't have $$$, you're worth less than s**t to some people.

Lorin, what is a nice woman of your heritage and disposition doing attempting sainthood?

Sounds like my cousin, who my family's never glad to see at the dinner table... And she stayed with her mom till she was 29 (pretty much had to force her out). My advice is get rid of those types soon as possible. Let 'em hit rock bottom and see that, while you may have infinite patience (so it seems), the world does not operate on her terms.

More than one somebody loves you Lucimay.

I woke up early and now I am debating whether to get in the shower and get moving early and go grab breakfast or continue to waste time on the internet. I think the shower and grabbing breakfast idea is winning out...

Lorin, the karma balance is still WAY in your favour! You did right.

Today was abyssmal. but only in a betting-on-horses type of way! So I can't really complain I suppose!

YES! We had Pantheon/Acropolis horses. Brid beats O-gon-cho, I'm afraid!

Santuaire won, yesterday :D . Song of Songs fell today :( .

Do you really worry about being less than s**t to that type of person? Let them have their money-or-celebrity-focused "relationship". It'll always end unhappy!

You seem to keep forgetting the Song is no longer cho's domain, despite my efforts to the contrary earlier in game...

I just received and responded to a request to fill out an initial screening survey to become a Nielsen-rating family.
We have neither a DVR nor any any means of watching t.v. other than over the air reception.
And we watch very little t.v., as we fell out of the habit, not having had a digital converter box until my last birthday in January.

I'll be shocked if we proceed any further.
But it was interesting to be considered...
