hmm...
I guess at this length, a t-shirt over barely anything else could appear to be a really short skirt...

I have no idea how to answer the poll question.

Apparently my gateway is in Reston, VA. Not too far from the old apartment but a fair poke from the new place.

I just looked at the map for the first time. It appears there have been nuclear strikes in Tampa, New York, London, and Sydney!

Wow, I was a total crank in this thread, wasn't I?
My apologies, Menolly. My annoyance was directed at Revolver Map, not at you, though it sure came out that way.

I didn't read it as cranky, just frustrated.
But I don't really understand the whole "hidden" feature's purpose anyway.

I mean, even if hidden, when a Watcher posts the Index lists their post as the most recent and if they are still on the Index lists that a hidden Watcher is currently on. It has always just been an additional step to figure out who the hidden poster(s) is/are, when I want to.

But then, I have readily admitted to being the Watch voyeur for awhile now. ;)

Shows me a good 2,000km from where I really am.

(And MM wasn't showing on it at all last time we were on at the same time.)

I see red dots like crazy when it's small, but when I click on it to make it a big version, I only see a couple of flags? Ah now I see the red dots all over? I don't see any flags in California though, much less in Sacramento specifically

Philippines would be variol son's current location.
Astralight of Andelain would be Jerusalem.
Tasmania would be StevieG.
Perhaps others as well, according to the Phoogle.

Looks like limelight is as close as I can come to Georgia.
And Khazduk is in Sweden.

The rest of my geography is terrible, so I don't even know where to look for the others on the Phoogle, except for Anchorage. And Phoogle doesn't seem to listing anyone for Alaska...

Agree with MM that it kind of defeats the purpose of having my status blocked. No other Watchers from my Podunk town, that I'm aware of. But then, I'm not sure if it shows when I have the script blocked.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Well, I just now went to the large globe and yes, the same town that is listed on your Facebook profile has a flag on the globe, Syl...

But on the small globe on the Index itself, it really is hard to tell exactly where everyone is. I sincerely doubt all that many follow the link to the bigger globe.

Now, now...

I've admitted long ago to being the Watch's voyeur.
I wouldn't call it stalking.
...exactly.

Visualizes Menolly cast in the Peter Sellers role in Being There

"I like to watch...the Watch"

however, the stalker reference was not necessarily directed at her

Are you guys talking about some feature available only to the hardcore posters, or am I just really stupid? I have not found a revolver map anywhere on this site. I did check out the big one, though, and I thought it was kind of neat. But I didn't show up. Maybe I am not hardcore enough?
