Wow, Jenn. Good thing you're getting out of that situation. Let's hope management doesn't see fit to transfer that incompetent idiot to your new store....

Quiet weekend here. Lots of reading of Patricia Briggs and lazing about. Signed the new lease with Magickmaker's name on it yesterday, so I guess I'm stuck with her as a roommate for the summer. Magickmaker's pestering me to play a card game called Skallywags with her, so I guess I'm going to make a pot of coffee and go play with her in a few minutes. She says this game takes *hours*. 8O

I'm sorry you had a crappy day, Sea. "Hugs and shit," as Luci would say. :)

The card game didn't take nearly as long as Magickmaker had threatened it would, likely because I'm not the opponent her best friend is. I'm just not bloodthirsty enough. I hate it when people gammon me in backgammon, just because they can. This game was a lot like that....

About to go grab a sandwich before I head in to work and have to deal with the jackass again. Wish me luck in restraining my urges to punch him in the face!

I totally suck. I am the worst jerk ever. I totally forgot to tell Sorus to come in later and so she suffered outside all morning. I'm such a stupid selfish toad.

He needs to get the schedule up at a reasonable time. The 'pass a message on' almost never works.

I'm furious with him, not upset with you. He had no business scheduling me later with the workload I had today, and even if I had come in later. I still would have had to work 11 hours with no break in order to almost get everything done. Plus I'm in agony because I need dental surgery that I can't afford. so yeah, life just sucks sometimes. Not your fault.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

He also did claim he was going to try to call you as well. On the plus side of things, the JA is going to get a sit down tag team confrontation by our "leader " and his sidekick in my dept and the asst mgr. When I came in today my immediate supervisor asked me, "What the f--k happened in DPS on Saturday???" Conveniently our asst mgr was lunching as well so they both got the full story. One of them said, "Our Leader has got to do something about the JA." and I said, "OH NO, You ALL have to do something about the JA, because point one: Our leader has had several talks with him and it hasn't done any good so YOU as asst mgr. and receiver of more than one complaint about his attitude, need to join in AND YOU as DPS mgr, need to join since it was YOUR customers and YOUR department he screwed up all because he has ego issues." Later in the day while conversing with our leader he tells me that those two are going to sit in on the conversation and I said, "I know, I told them they had to earlier because that's what is needed at this point." He looked at me and I said, "I know, I'm an interfering obnoxious bitch. Deal with it." Then at another point, our asst. mgr said something and I said, "Oh I have a spectacular parting gift planned for him." and both the asst mgr and our leader were like, "Oh sh-t." and I responded with, "I'm just sorry I won't be here to see it first hand and will only be able to enjoy it vicariously." I think they are both a bit frightened at this point.

Having Mr Seareach as my boss at the moment is a pain! Although it probably has its advantages. I was talking to him just before:

Mr Seareach: So, what artefact number are you up to?
Sea: I'm not telling you.
Mr Seareach: Tell me.
Sea: No.
Mr Seareach: I need to know your progress. I'm your project manager.
Sea: You can project manage my ass!

I'm guessing if I said that to any other boss I'd probably get fired!

Turns out the JA is on vacation this week so I am going to have to install the one device just before I leave and pass the torch of the other device on to Sorus to use at her discretion. Also, everyone who needs to be on board with the plot is on board so that they aren't driven nuts by the noises as well. However, the only person who knows where the first device will be hidden is our very own Sorus. That way it can't be tortured out of our fellow employees by management threats. I firmly believe that Sorus is the only one capable of easily withstanding management threats and so I am placing the overseeing of the operation in her capable hands. I wish there was some way to place the secondary one in his car but since I would never be able to trick the keys out of him it is pretty futile and he drives a bmw so putting it under or hidden on the outside would be a waste because the sound proofing on those cars is the best in the industry. I feel even more vindicated today because when I told Rob the story of Saturday he informed me that the JA won't let him work dps and lies to customers telling them that the printer is broken and turns down jobs.

Sea, good for you for standing up to your Mr. Seareach boss and that was a lovely posting prior to Lucimay's post in the Seafest thread. I totally missed it until Ali mentioned that you had posted it. I only read Lucimay's because I wasn't paying attention and thought it was the only recent post.

I worked the polls for the primary today, and while it's a good way to gain an extra $165 it serves two grand purposes: to get to know your neighbors better or to purposely piss off a few of them off... :P

Speaking of the Seafest thread...
in the Seafest thread aliantha wrote:Lorin, the rule of thumb is that if three or more Watchers get together, the suffix is -fest. ;)
Today I had a 'fest with balon! We met for breakfast and then toured the State Capital before he had to ride off to work at noon.
My sincere thanks to the other Watcher who has made this possible. :hearts:

Hopefully, photo(s) to come.
I am not one of the three of us who had a camera.

Cool! I am in a good mood. Not sure which of my awesomely cool new t-shirts I should wear tomorrow.... the serenity one with the silloutte of River with the axes just after the alliance breaks through the door... the jaynestown, Canton one with a picture of the statue of Jayne.... or the one that has a faux hello my name is badge with "Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die" written on it..... tough choice. Tomorrow the uber package arrives, complete with my Pinky and the Brain yelling Silence t-shirt, the double pack of annoyatrons, the key fob spy cam and the fish eye monitor rear view mirror.
