You have some nice cool people working at your store too. Ryan can be trusted with evil and secrets. He may be flighty but he's a good guy and he will keep stuff close to the vest, can be trusted and will get your back when needed. He does have some odd quirks with his joking but if you tell him, "Is that because i am white?" he will laugh and play along. You have to smile when you say that though. As for Ro, he is a pushover and Jacob plays him like a fiddle plus everything that Billy hears is repeated to Jacob through Rolando but not vice versa. Ro doesn't tell Billy stuff, info flows one way. None of the cashiers can be trusted, too ditzy, annoying or both. Stroud will back you 24/7 but you have to engage him or he won't yammer. Aaron, just creepy. He's currently stalking Katrina. Billy likes to meddle as you well know. He means well and is a good guy but again, everything you tell him comes back to Ro at some point. Even Jacob can be trusted to some extent, he just thrives on attention and interaction which is not how the relationship between you guys has been founded. That is unfortunately how he relates to people. Keep in mind that this is not a criticism. He admires and respects the job you do, he just needs social justification which you don't give him. It confuses him. You do your job and barely speak to him and he doesn't know how to relate to that. He's used to everyone kissing his ass and you just bust out your job and cut out the bullshit. I thrive on the politics, the interaction and some of the other stuff that is related to management. We are different people but we compliment each other well and judging from my first week I wish I had you with me in Emeryville. In the meantime, if you need me I am here for you, by phone or email or im on multiple sources. Anyway, sooo tired. I love you Sorus. I've been up since four am...Ugh.

Meh. I just want to do my job. Not there to make friends or enemies. The fact that you-know-who interferes with my ability to do my job at every possible opportunity is the only reason I am breaking my neutrality.
Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Hee Hee, thanks Sorus.
I am working closing shifts all week. This means I won't get home until about eleven thirty-midnight. Ugh.

By home, you mean the Watch, right?

So my first night closing and we got freight late and my other manager on duty tonight was obsessive about getting all the freight put away. Finally at 11:15 I told her, "Look, we just aren't going to get it done, it's already after eleven so that means the buses are on skeleton stops, the later you keep me here, the longer I have to wait for the trains and the buses and the longer I am standing on dark streets in sketchy neighborhoods alone. Also, I am now an hour over my scheduled hours for the pay period and it's only the second day I've worked." She gave me a lift to the bart station so I cut out the bus ride to the bart, however, after midnight I won't get off bart at civic center because the streets I have to walk are really freaky at night and not well lit so I got off at the stop before and walked nine blocks home instead since I would rather walk up Geary in the bright streetlights of Union Square and all the hipster/yuppie clubs that have bouncers out front which tends to keep the seedier element at bay. I am totally exhausted. I spent the last three hours of work busting ass on freight and climbing the cage ladder to put up top stock. My leg muscles were burning on the walk home. I'm not looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow. Ugh.

I'm a little upset. I'm trying not to be but I can't help it. I got home and there was a fedex tag on my door saying they left my scooter package outside the front door of my apartment. No scooter. I sure as hell hope Jorge put it somewhere safe for me otherwise I'm gonna be really pissed off if he didn't. Apparently fed ex didn't even require a signature. I'm sure it was even shipped in a box clearly labeled with the contents. What moronic delivery driver would leave a 300 dollar scooter in the hallway of an apartment building in the freaking tenderloin, full of families with teenage kids living in studios on section 8.

Hey Jenn: Hope that it turns up safely. BUT if it doesn't, as far as my experience with fedex goes (even though I'm in Australia) they MUST get a signature. If they don't have your signature then you can claim to get the value of the contents back. I know that's a whole lot of stuffing around you'd prefer not to do...but it'll be better than nothing. I hope.Cameraman Jenn wrote:I'm a little upset. I'm trying not to be but I can't help it. I'm sure it will turn up, Jenn. And if not you can file a claim with Amazon. I've done that before, with a camera that some stupid delivery driver left behind somebody else's bushes....

That may be considered funny to y'all, but Hyperception's school computer tower looks very similar to that.
...of course, he's been using that monstrosity since he entered community college back in 19992. says he's too lazy to transfer everything, and it is where his current version of his dissertation is stored.

I hope he's got some post-1992 way to back up his dissertation, Menolly. Even if he uses floppies, he may have trouble finding a current machine with a floppy drive. (And if he's using 5.5" floppies, I think he's pretty much screwed...)

Well, the tower has been upgraded with the installation of an internal CD-burner in place of the floppy drive. But compared to the flash drive when used on the net books, transferring info is slow...
But yeah, as much as I hate doing it, and as much as he hates hearing it, I should probably nag him to at least burn the dissertation to CD, if not then use a system with web access to store it online somewhere. It is just he is so classic ODD at times; at the slightest suggestion, he turns and goes in the total opposite direction.
...and they say ASD is not necessarily genetic. riiiight. Just glad Beorn shows no sign of ODD himself; I don't think I could deal with two of them.

...or you could save him from himself and burn the thing to CD for him....
I got ASD, and I've certainly heard of ADD/ADHD, but what's ODD?
