No Morse code requirement? 8O 8O Oh, the humanity!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I needed a 3rd class radiotelephone license (in the vernacular, a "3rd phone") when I first started working in radio, in case I had to take transmitter readings. (Basically, if the needle's in the red, it's bad. ) But that requirement went by the wayside before my license even expired. I still have it in a drawer somewhere....

Feel about as good as possible for a Monday. :D Had to have a little haircut this weekend...couldn't fit in my car anymore with my hair up, so trimmed a couple of inches off and peroxided it white. :D

Hey Damelon-someone needs to tell that deli they're supposed to kill the frickin' chicken first!

peroxide white? Is that the new Anderson Cooper Mohawk look?

Weekend was fun, we raised 200 bucks for the PTA at our yard sale, watched a lot of football yesterday 2 of my fantasy teams won. I have a very good chance of beating kinslaughterer in the Watchers league tonight (Cleburne is now 4-0 BTW 8O ) and need a miracle from Brandon Marshall to win in my Fanatics league tonight.

Grace went back to school today, she really can't do PE or recess and is still on the soft diet. She had a couple of rough nights Thursday and Friday: a few instances where her breathing at night was very tough. But, she got all her homework done and went off like a trooper.

Still exhausted. I got nothing done today. It was a day of high maintenance customers and stupid crap.

Danlo, kiss that grace monkey for me. Tell her I love her and that goes for you and Lady Tam too. Then scritch my dawggles on his soft brown ears and kiss him square on his cold wet nose for me. I need the comfort. I haven't even been able to go pick up Moo from Chris's place so I have been dogless for over a week and it's making me all teary. Ugh.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I'd love some extra rest. My 3-month-old baby girl just discovered her voice and was Oooh-ing and Aaah-ing loudly this morning. Adorable and cute as it is, I'd prefer her not to practice her opera skills at 5 a.m.

Ill. My girlfriend felt awful and said she didn't want to infect me, so I shouldn't come over. Then she changed her mind and, sure enough, I got it. So it's all runny nose, sneezing, sandpaper throat, sore head and shoulders, etc. Fun times.

My wife and I set the date for our week long (almost a week) stay at Disney World.
We will leave on Sunday (10/10) and return Friday.
Watch out Goofy and Mickey!
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Just remember, it isn't really Goofy and Mickey that you see there, so when you punch and kick them, you are just punching and kicking some poor sap in a costume.
Have fun!

Have a great time Cheval! Spiral, I know exactly what you mean!

I had an interesting experience the other day that I was going to share with you, but for the life of me, I can't remember it... losing my memory.

Anyway, [deleted - probably get myself in trouble talking about it... ;) ]

No.

CovJr, feel better soon!

Cheval, have a great time!

Spiral -- heh. You spend the first two years getting them to talk, and the next 18 wishing they'd shut up....

I had an interesting day yesterday. I substitute taught in a classroom in which I was teaching 5th and 6th grades two different subjects simultaneously. It was quite a challenge, and I wasn't always sure what I was supposed to be doing when, but the kids were very helpful and patient, and we got most of the scheduled lessons completed by the time the day was over. Needless to say I was quite exhausted by the time I got home!

Crap day!

My best friend and I broke up! :? :( [insert crying here]

Then, to top up a really fantastic day: I was working on my dell computer just doing some word processing and then it just powered down. I thought we'd had a black-out but no. Turned it on once, got to a dos screen, said "start as normal"...it started doing its thing and then powered down. Second time, it asked on the dos screen if I'd like to do a system repair. YES I opted for...powered down...now doesn't work at all. I tried (lots) and even hit it a bit.

Perhaps I wouldn't be so shitted off if
a) it was only just over a year old
b) I hardly use the thing
c) I had backed up in the last year
d I wasn't so angry at myself for buying a Dell yet again after the last one fried.

So on top of my relationship collapse, all this other hoo-ha is...well...I'm not surprised.

GO AHEAD gods! GIMME YOUR BEST SHOT!!!!! I'm ready!!!! :|

Sometimes I feel like the world is really testing me. I feel like every time I put a positive spin on something bad or frustrating the universe throws something more bad or more frustrating at me to test my limits. I mean come on, how much should I have to take. I am exhausted all the time, my commute sucks, three hours a work day, I'm still broke and living paycheck to paycheck, I'm totally screwed right now because my boss did not pay me my comp hours and I got no overtime money, I am stuck working retail management and in a uniform again and then on top of everything else I get attacked. I'm almost afraid to say that the positive side of it all is that I got away, pepper spray works and I am alright. I don't feel alright. I forgot to eat all day yesterday. It just seems like every time I put a positive spin on something I get a screw you from the powers that be. Did I put out some really bad karma that I didn't realize I was putting out? WTF???

I'm afraid of your comfort, I'm afraid of your positive vibes. I am afraid to do anything but hunker down and accept depression and bad attitudes. If i get support something else bad is going to happen so tell me I am screwed and on my own and yes my life sucks so I can avoid the next bullet. Tell me I asked to get attacked, that it's all my fault, that I deserve to have bad things happen and maybe I can get a fracking reprieve.

Jenn!
Thomas Covenant had taught Linden that no contempt or cruelty or hurt could defeat her if she did not choose to be defeated. The Despiser might assail and savage her as a predator attacked prey, but he could not deprive her of herself. Only her own weaknesses could wreak so much harm.

That she believed utterly.
