In this case, I rolled Listen checks for everyone to see who heard the big thing clomping along....the answer is Kali, Laurel, and Led.

I was IMd that I made my Listen check, but was not told anything further then. I assumed there were some details in a PM waiting for me here on the Watch, but there is nothing. So, although I made my Listen check, I guess I have nothing further to add regarding it.Seven Words wrote:Any check where it's a "did they happen to notice" situation, I roll and PM/IM people the results....or if it's "do they recognize this at first glance", also.

[Or, you could make a Spellcraft or Knowledge (Arcane) check to discover that invis isn't transitive like that. I'm really not sure how it made Beau invisible as well, unless that's a DM rule. (He could have counted as an object at that point, since the manticore was holding him?)]Laurel wrote:"Would you mind observing an experiment?"

Ah, but as I said earlier, Laurel gathered all the things from the Slaadi battle for distribution when we have time, as we never dealt with it and I didn't want to leave it behind. I have no interest in either the ring of climbing or the ring of featherfall, and will gladly give them away to anyone who wants. For now we can say both are safely stowed on Hardy or Garvin. Or II have already given the ring of climbling to Led, if he would like it. He would have better use for it, per the game thread now, than Laurel ever will.Goatkiller666 wrote:Anyway, you already have two rings. You can have no more than that, unless you pick up a feat adding a third ring slot.
As for spell lists, since with Versatile Spellcaster more 2nd level spells will also boost more 3rd level spells, which in turn will boost more 4th level spells as I get them, etc., I'll share what I have on my spell list so far. Laurel has been concentrating on Healing and buffing her Inspire Courage mostly, with a few attack spells thrown in.+2 Luck bonus to hit, saves, and AC
But where is the role playing fun in that?Led Pighp wrote:[Or, you could make a Spellcraft or Knowledge (Arcane) check to discover that invis isn't transitive like that. ]
Well, I was thinking perhaps it was a homerule making the earring similar to a portkey from Harry Potter. As long as one was touching it, or a person wearing it, everyone touching was affected. I guess I could say the experiment is a role playing way of asking for a Spellcraft or Knowledge (Arcana) check.Led Pighp wrote:[I'm really not sure how it made Beau invisible as well, unless that's a DM rule. I've mostly used this on Zero level spells to cast a 1st level spell, and then drew upon the additional 1st level spell to cast a 2nd level spell, when needed. Vyn duplicates a lot of my Zero level spells with his spell-like abilities, so this has worked out well between us.All Feats from All Sources wrote:Versatile Spellcaster

You can use two lower-level spell slots to cast a spell one level higher.
Prerequisite: Ability to spontaneously cast spells.
Benefit: You can use two spell slots of the same level to cast a spell you know that is one level higher. For example, a sorcerer with this feat can expend two 2nd-level spell slots to cast any 3rd-level spell he knows.
