I'm listening to Chronicles of Amber COrwin Cycle. Almost through Disk 2 of the first book.

I'm redoing Feists Riftwar series and all ancillaries (up to the end of the Serpent War anyway...after that they lose it).

Agreed. Thrice over. The Conclave of Shadows books had their moments, but were pretty average. After that, pure meh.[/i]

Best is the Empire series. Actually, I re-read those first, then decided to do the whole lot.

Busy on Darkness At Sethanon right now. Next, the Krondor interludes, (Betrayal, Assassins & Tear of the Gods).

I love the Empire trilogy best. The politics and religion of it are endlessly fascinating to me.

Definitely agree that the Empire ones are best.

Started Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy this week. I like it so far. Magic system stands out as original.

Taken a break after Krondor: The Assassins to read a book from my boss called Predictably Irrational, about behavioural economics. (I know, wrong thread.) Interesting enough. Soon as I'm done, it's Krondor: Tear of the Gods.

"Tear" is a rather confusing homynym to be used in the title of a book. Not as bad as "pussy," however.

Edit - I guess that's not strictly a homynym, by definition. It's a homograph.

Finished Esslemont's Stormwielder over the weekend. Now back to Carol Berg's "Bridge of D'Arnath" series. I'd never read any of her stuff before, but it's good.

I'd read the first book, Son of Avonar, before starting Esslemont (and I confess to sort of rushing through Esslemont in order to get back to the other series!

). Now a little over halfway through Guardians of the Keep.

Just finished that one on my Kindle as well. I concur. At the end I felt like it was book 2 of a trilogy rather than the finish. Enjoyable but it seems to not have any resolution to it.
