the " malaise" ...Sorus ..please, pretty. You know what you have to do. There is no point to Hating what you have to do. You are only defeating your self by hating what you know you have to do. Give yourself some love. Embrace what you know you have to do.

The Printed Word World is going thru massive changes. Your interests and work are so closely intertwined that it seems impossible for you not to change along with the times. My job as a participant in the Military Industrial Complex gives me opportunity to explore my " humanist" hobbies and interests. Strange it is that the Corporate I work for concedes the fact that they need people to think outside of the box if the Corporate is to remain competitive and at the cutting edge. So ..eventually the circle is completed. Thats my point. please don't hate what it takes for you to make happen what you need and want. With Hope and Love create your future.

These are just words from a pontificator on a website. Easy for me to say. Yet I sincerely hope you grasp the essence of what is said.
If she withdrew from exaltation, she would be forced to think- And every thought led to fear and contradictions; to dilemmas for which she was unprepared.

You know, I live on the outskirts of a mountain range. I'm going to hold a party on a mountain.

Don't worry, I'm over 18. You might get handcuffed, but you won't get arrested.

 We'll see. I don't know if it's even legal. On your side of the Atlantic these probably wouldn't be considered mountains at all, but the UK isn't really a mountainous country.

But it's very pretty!

I had to be at work 1.5 hours early this morning to play hostess for a client meeting in our building. Happy Monday.... In theory, it means I get to leave early, tho. We'll see if that actually transpires.

Knowing the Brits, probably not. At the very least you'll need a permit. :D

A mountain party sounds cool !! Just remember to launch exploding crap from the top - blow shit up !!

On a side note, a youth group here in NZ had a party on top of a mountain and it made the news because the local tribes consider it an affront to the gods and spirits - which is quite quaint really.

My Welsh friend, reading your quote from over my shoulder, says, the Welsh were born to party. 8)

Today I'm feeling happy and sad.
I've now reached the big 50, and happy.

But sad remembering last year's birthday not receiving any birthday cards which had only been preceded by not receiving any Christmas cards which did eventually arrive in the post ripped and torn in June.

But happy that this morning I had one birthday card, signed by all my friends in the community were I now live.

Sad, remembering where I once lived and how my beautiful suburban neighbourhood declined gradually into the Nottingham equivalent to Eerie Indiana.

Happy, because tonight I had haggis, with leaks carrots and broccoli, and the biggest birthday cake I've ever seen. Well there are 21 of us living here.

So on behalf of the Emmaus community in Coventry , I wish you all a happy Burns Night.

You're a Nottinghamian? Whereabouts are you describing?

I'm Dundonian.
Moved to England in 96' but haven't been able to settle someplace for keeps.

Stayed for a little while in Mapperly - corner of zulla/ebers. Guess I had too much piece'n'quiet and went a bit stir crazy. I moved up to Cov for a new change of pace. All's good.

I remember a post you made, ages ago, about city web cams and how you linked to the Nott'm one because it was more interesting than where you were. I intended to make a comment, but...didn't.

Are you from Nottingham, or were you studying there?

Nothing wrong with Dundonians - just like Aberdonians, but a good bit thicker
