$3.50 here in central Ohio, including southern portions.

Funny how the price of gas is the highest in the poorest counties :-x

Along with Washington, Montana, Northern California, Portugal.

$1.25 in Halifax :D

But of course, thats per litre

so multiply it by roughly 3.78 to get a price per US gallon.

$4.72

Right now the Canadian Dollar is pretty much on per with the US.

$1.34 per litre. Damn, by Drew's calculation, that's like $5 a gallon.

But here the petrol price is the same everywhere. Government regulates it.

You guys don't know how lucky you are.

£1.33 per litre. So that's x 1.63 to turn the pounds into dollars, and then x 3.78 to turn the litre into a US gallon.

Yes, that makes $8.20 per gallon here in the good ole UK. I think I'll suggest we invade Iraq or something...

TheFallen:  We tried that, and look where it's gotten us.

Okay, I looked. $3.47/gallon at the cheap place. I think it's probably about $3.80/gallon at the ridiculously pricey gas station down the street from my house.

No kidding, don't invade oil-bearing countries...your gas prices will double.

127.9 pence per litre :hairs:

And that's with a huge refinery only 10 miles up the road.

Some of the rural places are paying anything up to 140 pence per litre.

lorin mentioned her Prius. My car gets pretty good gas mileage too (tho not as good as hers!). But I'm grateful these days to live in a metropolitan area with a decent transportation system and walkable neighborhoods. I take Metro to work every day, and lots of stuff is within walking distance of my apartment. Basically, I take the car out only once a week. And Metro hasn't raised its fares (lately). So the recent hike in gas prices hasn't really affected me all that much. Altho it will eventually....
