Have you tried going to the doctor's muzzled?
I knew when I posted that somebody would suggest it! :P

Had today off but spent it helping BGB prep food stuff for the "Alice in Wonderland" themed party he is going to this weekend. He's dressing up as the walrus and his costume is so awesomely off the hook great. He put it together with stuff from thrift stores and made his own fuzzy walrus mask that rocks.

On Saturday, Beorn graduated from high school. His ceremony was held in the basketball/volleyball arena on the UF campus, directly across from The Swamp, where the Gators play football. Three statues of each of UF's Heisman winners have been erected since we were last there, so this photo came about upon seeing them.

...rushing in to his future

Yesterday, since Beorn's grands were in town, we made the three hour drive to Sarasota so they could see the New College campus. A long drive each way, but a grand time was had by all.

Grandma headed home this morning; Poppie is here until tomorrow, when Beorn will go to spend a week or so with him at his house. After the past few days, I am looking forward to some quiet before traveling myself for elohimfest.

Congrats to Beorn. Null, BGB stands for Bloodguard Bob. He was one of our regular actors on FBH and is a member here although he hasn't really posted much in a long time.

Had a quiet day at work, OH CRAP, just realized I forgot to text Ashlee the numbers...damn. I have got to get in the habit of that. Anyway, my arm is kinda jacked up. I slept on it funny and woke up in the middle of the night with it dead numb and then this morning when I got up there was some ugly swelling on the elbow and top of the forearm and the muscle is very very tender and sore to the touch. I hope I didn't do any serious damage to it from lack of blood flow.

Middle of bloody winter and it's raining. We don't get rain in winter where I am. Ever. Except now it's raining as though it were the midlle of summer. Very unusual weather patterns.

Damn, I was going to punk out my hair by bleaching some more white stripes in it and dying the white stripes hot pink but the overhead light is out in the bathroom and I can't even remotely reach it without making a bunch of noise and bringing up a full on ladder. Guess I'll just bring it to Albequerque and have Lady Tam help me. It will probably look more professional that way anyway.

Ok, just had a moment of silent squeeing because in less than 12 hours I will be leaving the apartment, heavily laden with luggage and dragging myself to the BART station to go to the airport to fly to Albequerque and join the efesters!!!!! :nanaparty: :letsparty: :S :S :S :nanaparty:

Feeling wonderfully sated, as I have already had my New Mexico huevos rancheros, Chr-stmas style and chile rellenos with red. Savor Dam found a little place called Cocina Azul, which we both enjoyed.

Looking forward to Jenn's meal tonight and seeing all the 'festers in town who are coming for the planning dinner!

(gee, does that sound like it should be in The Galley or what?)

Since I told you I would do a What's for Dinner post about last night's meal, I will oblige. Thank you for the reminder...:P

I am exhausted. I have been running on adrenaline for days and after Lady Tam's high tea hit the table I went into crash mode. Could hardly keep my eyes open at the table talking to the other festers. I imagined I would sleep in early this morning as I closed the door to keep Alex the kitty from coming in and demanding attention at sixish but I woke up anyway and I think it's the lack of street noise that kept me awake. Oh well. It's all good. I'm having a total blast despite my exhaustion.

Tired and sad. I dropped Bossk off at the airport a couple of hours ago. Elohimfest is officially over, and I go back to work tomorrow. I had a great time, and thanks to everybody who participated, and thanks especially to Danlo, Lady Tam and Jenn for making it possible. I started my story until the kid woke up, so I'll have to finish it later. Anyway, thanks again all!

I couldn't agree more. Elohimfest was an amazing experience, and I too am sad to see it over. Thanks to one and all for making me feel so welcome, I had an absolute blast. Already looking forward to the next one.
Are you a storyteller, Thomas Covenant?

I was, once.

And you gave it up? Ah, that is as sad a tale in three words as any you might have told me. But a life without a tale is like a sea without salt. How do you live?

I live.

Another? In two words, a story sadder than the first. Say no more -- with one word you will make me weep.

Uh oh... We appear to have influenced Scott with our fabulousness to become a regular poster.... 8O

Now back to the subject of the thread. I am having a meltdown in the airport. I am tired and just spent two days saying goodbye for now to a lot of people I love and my flight is delayed and now I won't get home until after eleven tonight. I can't stop crying. I feel overwraught right now. I keep having to pause my typing to keep wiping my cheeks and eyes with my sleeves. I wish Loremaster was here because he could make me laugh with a single look after our adventures today... oh great. now I'm crying harder.

A wildfire in northern New Mexico is blocking the homeward bound train's track. All stops between Albuquerque and Wichita are cancelled. Being rerouted. Near Clovis NM now, going through Amarillo and Oklahoma. Understand the phrase "get back on track " a little better now. Will posts on Elohimfest when I get home tomorrow.
