Worm of the World's End
I've posted now and then over the years, but one of the things I do besides read SRD is write music. Now and then, some of my music is inspired by works of SRD.
So I thought I'd share:

Last item on the page.
It's a fugue for 3 electric guitars plus occasional bells. It also has a slow, deep pulse, and for that reason, I recommend playing it on something that allows you to hear the bass pretty well.
I started work on this piece over 10 years ago. Two additional movements are planned. I guess sometimes I work even slower than SRD.

It is pretty good, but I could be being partial. For some reason fugues just please me, always have.wayfriend wrote:Hey, that's pretty good, Chasmys. Anyone who can compose music, never mind a fugue, has a gift.

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Same here, which helps explain why I like to write them. Regardless, I'm glad others can enjoy something I wanted to share.Vraith wrote:It is pretty good, but I could be being partial. After posting, I noticed the Hall of Gifts. Maybe that would have been a better place to post? I'm not sure, since that forum seems more for the written word.

The Hall of Gifts is appropriate for all works of art by Watchers, whether written or otherwise. However, as one of the mods of The Summonsing, I have no problem with this thread being here. My co-mod, LF, is also mod of the Hall of Gifts. If he should choose that this thread is more appropriate there, would you object to it being moved?

I think I'd welcome the move as it might reach more ears.Menolly wrote:The Hall of Gifts is appropriate for all works of art by Watchers, whether written or otherwise.
