It's fascinating to me that one of the best promos to get attention is a bunch of giant-size manly men wearing pink stuff while playing ball.

the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Just keep in mind that while rare, breast cancer can, and does, strike men as well. If you're going to check out "ta-tas," be certain you know how to check out your own...

Good advice...but what's the fun in that?

Perhaps pairing up to perform mutual exams can serve both a healthful agenda and one that assures due care and attention is paid to the process.

i am blessed that cancer is not something that runs in my family.

you would think with all the money we spend on research - we would find someway to cure this dreadful disease. but i have faith that someday we will.

Thanks for this reminder. I lost a friend a couple of years ago, a woman my age and whose kids were my kids friends (they still are on FB). She was famous in Vermont for these:

Janie Booth's Molasses Cookies

2 sticks butter or margarine (226 grams)
1 tsp. + 1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup molasses
3 1/2 cups flouir
1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 Tbsp. connamon
1 tsp. ginger
scant 1/4 tsp. powdered cloves
1/4 cup water

Cream together the first five ingredients.
Sift dry ingredients together. Mix with butter mixture.
Add the water and mix well. Chill overnight.
Roll into 1" balls and roll in sugar.
Bake 350 12-14 minutes.
