I'm really enjoying the New Sun so far, though progressing more slowly than usual.
(Something to do with trawling through mountains of interesting discourse on this cool place I found on the net.)
I screwed myself reading book of the new sun because i kept expecting the story to go in a certain direction. it didn't go that way and i kept reading faster and faster expecting something particular to happen. when it didn't i got frustrated and i think i stopped after the third book, or maybe i skimmed to the end. i need to re-read more carefully next time, accepting that what i want to have happen doesn't...
OK, I've said this elsewhere, but I'm not really that big of a fan of sci-fi and fantasy - I just read a few books that I like rather than focus on those genres.
Looked over the results to see which ones I had read (didn't expect it to be too many)
#1 Lord of the Rings
#2 Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
#4 The Dune Chronicles (well, I've read Dune anyway)
#6 1984
#9 Brave New World
#13 Animal Farm
#14 Neuromancer
#20 Frankenstein
#24 2001: A Space Odyssey
#30 A Clockwork Orange
#36 The Time Machine
#39 War of the Worlds
#44 Ringworld
#46 The Silmarillion
#58 The Chronciles of Thomas Covenant
#61 The Mote in God's Eye
#90 The Elric Saga
#96 Lucifer's Hammer
More than I imagined I would find on this list (18), but there are a few I no longer own and will probably not read again (The Larry Niven books and the Elric books)
