Having a quiet Saturday morning and getting my panties untwisted. :)

And lorin, at least one of them is probably losing his job this week. He has a week off with no pay so my husband can think about whether or not to give him another chance.

My son decided this past week he is going back to college; he went and got himself accepted to a pretty major university and I am so proud of him! My daughter is playing "Pepper" in Annie later in the week so I am stoked about that too!!

Looks as though you had a good day, Sarge :)

I shall be home alone until Monday. My daughter will arrive soon and she and my husband will go down south to his sister's 60th birthday and 40th wedding anniversary party. As my daughter had the weekend off, I suggested she go and I would dogsit. She hasn't seen her cousins for a long time.

Perhaps a good opportunity to clean the house up a bit without interruptions. :D

Botheration, I forgot - I have a great pile of photocopying downstairs waiting for me to bind into 70 books! Wish I'd got it done last week now :(
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

 Very cool and exciting... just hearing you talked about those water rodents and turtles, I can see you liking this! :-D I like the detail about you looking forward to interacting w/ the octopus.

One would think Passover would be the perfect holiday for a low carber, but since there are certain items I only make for the festival, I had to at least taste them, right?

Actually looking forward to returning to my low carb WOE, starting tonight.
...I think.

It's been a rough few days. My mom died early on Wednesday morning. She'd broken her hip the Thursday before. Though the surgery the next day to repair it went well; she had no appetite afterwards and it was only a matter of time. Wednesday was a long day.

The visitation was last night, so the hardest part is done. While there is still there is much to do, and much to go through, I can begin to take a breather now and then.

Hugs to you Damelon. I know how devoted you were to your Mom.

I've been without house internet for a few days so now I guess I'll get caught up.

Worked my first Saturday since inventory today. It was ok. I'll post details in my blog thread. I've had some humorous moments and a very uncomfortable one over the past few days that I'll blather about.

Thanks for all the nice things you guys said about my opossum post. I loved that little guy but they really are very unsuitable for domesticating so I knew I had to give him up eventually from the beginning so I am just grateful for the experience and that I got to give him back to the wild full of life rather than the alternative.

Hugs to them that needs em.

I am a bit shook up. There was a car accident in front of my house today. Dumb ass teen on one of those loud fast motorcycles. He ran the light and was hit and killed. They left him just lying there for hours and hours, uncovered. I saw the young woman that hit him. All I could think of was more than one life was lost. How will she ever recover form such an event? Just really sad.

Lorin, that sucks. I feel really spoiled now. I had a great day with the ladies. We went to brunch, then got our brows done, then back to Julie's house for their first viewing of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, which they loved. Then we lounged and watched some really bad lifetime movie network movies and dined on Julie's homemade pot roast and iceberg lettuce wedge salads.

Funny how you feel kind of angry when someone throws their life away like that. :( Whereas Damelon's Mom had a life and it's just sad to say goodbye.
