Well, Chain links signify paraodox to me in that they are a bunch of things getting together in order to separate other things. Of course, you might want to have an ant farm reference, but if it were me, it'd be a paradox reference.

Hey, that stuff works wonders on mildew..... ;)
(It really does. 8) )

My top one is a line from my favorite Pink Floyd song, in answer to LF's putting another line from the same song in his sig. (Shine On is our mutual favorite song, by our mutual favorite band. :P )

And my other one is a combination of a line from my favorite TCTC song, that Mhoram sings after the death of his parents, and my favorite line in the whole world. (That's why it's blue. ;) )

Since I've been posting, I've used a couple of quotes from Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow. There are five "Proverbs for Paranoids" in the book. I've edited the expletives from my current sig :D

Ever seen Cool Hand Luke?

The first was the most poetic line I've ever read in SRD's books, the second, well I've already told you...

-BtC
"Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high ideals."

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

Cool Hand Luke is a great film. My father and I were chatting about it yesterday.

I really don't have a clue why I put thing in mine - there was a lot of FF talk in the Games forum around xmas, so I put in the FF8 moving pic...
For some reason I wanted to put that number of books thing in, though I don't know why - its totally pointless.
The other two are just things I find amusing (the second only in context, however).
Maybe I should change, but I can't think of anything new.

Mine is the coolest song lyric I have ever heard to date. The dumb thing is I could only fit half of it in. :(

I've replaced my image with song lyrics, and added a site link. Removed the book count, as well.

One of my friends wrote his dissertation on Thomas Pynchon. I always meant to read some of his books, they sounded interesting. I remember Pete telling me about a guy who shot down a Messerschmitt with a custard pie in one of them.

Oh Duchess, I love it! :haha:

I just wish Vain would let us have longer signatures so I can fit the other half of mine in. *hint hint nudge nudge* ;)

I'm trying to decide whether I should add "Lord Foul has my son" to my sig, but I'm not sure if it could compete with such classics as "Tethers and whips and chains, oh my!" lol.
