Bruce gets very naked... even more naked if you get the unrated version.

Seven Samurai. Excellent movie. Right up there with The 7th Seal for me.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Oh yeah, the one where he plays chess against the grim reaper. Classic! Toshiro Mifune's performance in Seven Samurai is probably the best acting I've yet seen.
What do you think of farmers? You think they're saints? Hah! They're foxy beasts!
And so on . . . That whole speech he did, starting with that, was greatness.

And how, along with Jane March aka The Sinner from Pinner. There was one of those were-they-or-weren't-they rumours going round at the time.

She's actually done very little else of note since Color of Night, in which she was the female lead. The film caused a bit of a stir when it was released, Jane March had a reputation for sleeping with her leading men and the rumour I was hinting at was that some of the sex scenes between her and Bruce Willis were more authentic than they's like you to believe. I'm not sure I believe any of it though.

Bump. My list has been revised once more. This time for the last time--hopefully. They're the kind of movies I can just sit back and relax to, letting them take me on a long, winding journey to another place, time, and mind. The best part is no naked Bruce Willis.

Couple of days ago I watched 28 Days Later on Sky Movies, including the alternate ending, and seeing it again just confirmed it for me - from now on I consider 28 Days Later the best movie I've seen (and I have never been able to pick favourites in anything before).
So, my list of favourite movies finally has one film I can make up my mind on - 28 Days Later.
