Anyway, onto book 4, Scattered Suns.

I'm enjoying them. Has nobody else read these books? :lol:

Just started Queen of Wands by John Ringo. It was one of the freebies in the WFC bag last fall. It's urban fantasy, but the main character styles herself as a warrior for (the Christian) God, and so keeps making these comments that set my teeth on edge. Example: Kali, the Hindu goddess of life and death. The main character is compelled to point out that a Christian would see Kali as a demon. Never mind that Hindus believe in reincarnation, so death doesn't mean the same thing to them. :roll: I'm gonna try to finish this book without throwing it across the room. But it's gonna be touch-and-go....

Whelp, finished The Neverending Story. Twas Fantastic....a..... a lot more meaningful than the movie, it had an actual (well, maybe several) messages to it.

I think I need to find this. I liked the movie -- stop throwing tomatoes at me! -- but it might partly have been because the kids loved it.

I don't think I've ever seen the movie, but I have only heard positive things about it. These comments are definitely making me curious regarding the book itself.

...but then, I have to admit my curiosity has been raised regarding the series Beautiful Creatures is based on as well.
