I got sucked in. (Damn you, Creator! :x ;) )

(Of course, he'll never see that that comment. I'm sure he's gone back to hide in Pantheon again. )

So, the good: Magickmaker got hired, yay! :S And a local yarn shop is hiring her to work weekends. She'll be rolling in dough before long. And have no time to spend it. But anyway.

The meh: Batty had a successful interview with the temp firm, but they said it will take about a week to look over her test results and paperwork and stuff. So, no job 'til next week at the earliest. Still, it's progress.

The bad: Commute from hell this morning. Missed my regular bus while policing the kitty food. Mr. Wommy has taken to "guarding" the food, so he can catch Morgan when she tries to eat. Arrgh. Anyway, missed the regular bus; got held up getting off the bus by a lovely family with a four-year-old who was moving at typical four-year-old speed, and just missed the Blue Line train; took the next Yellow Line train, which requires a transfer at L'Enfant Plaza, and had to wait there for ten minutes. At that point, I was already half an hour late. Ended up being 45 minutes late to work and missed a meeting for a committee I'd volunteered to be on. Now I have to skip lunch to make up the time. Arrgh.

Ali, I've had mornings like those and they suck.

I'm physically tired but have a restless brain.

Yeah, "procedure" never indicates fun. Sorry, null. My sis just spent 2 days in bed with a stomach bug. Glad I missed that one.

So on Sunday I finally got around to booking my trip to London at the start of next month. Also bought myself a ticket to see Wicked at the theatre while I'm there. Should be fun.

Off tomorrow for a weekend in Cardiff (family history conference). A break badly needed, the last few weeks have been a bit grotty. :D
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

"Wicked" was great when we saw it at the Kennedy Center in DC. 8)

Sarge -- I don't envy you. Hope everything comes out okay...er, I mean...oh, never mind.

Doing Camp NaNoWriMo -- did I mention that already? Other than that, nothing new to report.

EDITED: Oh, right -- Seized was up for a Readers' Choice award, but it lost to Hugh Howey's Wool. I'm neither surprised nor disappointed; when in a contest with an 800-lb. gorilla, I see no shame in losing.

If you were a 900-lb. gorilla it would be shameful, but as you are not, it is indeed a very honourable loss. Congratulations for being up for it regardless of defeat at the feet of the gorilla! (Does this mean you won't vote for it in the May book club poll? ;))

Yes, Wicked is awesome. But what would I know, I've only seen it three times.

so in two weeks an endoscopy to see if anything is happening there.

I need new music. Not necessarily new, but new to me. It's been too long since I've totally fallen for a band/artist. I can't seem to find anything that grabs me.

A somewhat random selection of my current favorite artists, chosen more for good versions of the music rather than the associated video. I can't believe there still isn't a single copy of my favorite song on YouTube. I'd post the music video I made for it, but it'd get banned before anyone saw it.

You may not like any of it, but I never pass up an opportunity to inflic-- err, share what I'm listening to.

Not my sort of thing, but thanks. (Couple 1980s-sounding throwbacks in there, eh?)

I've liked some of the stuff you've linked in the past, so figured it was worth a try.

And yeah, probably. My taste in music is pretty eclectic.

My taste is hard to predict, I think. I'll like one thing but hate something that's similar-but-not-quite.

I could take that as a challenge, but I'm out of ideas at the moment.
