FaceBook Charges through Paypal?

I don't do Social Media other than BBS, (No Facebook, MySpace or Twitter, it's far too invasive for me, without even posting any personal information on your wall).

But, a Friend of mine, has a lover, with Paypal charges for Facebook, on Nov 12th, for 50 cents at least 3 or 4 or 5 times in a single day (I think one of those is only 10 cents). What's up with that? Why would Facebook charge 50 cents a pop, several times in the same day (Or make charges at all?)

Is this a sign of someone going to Pay Face book sites and getting transaction or by the minute charges?

Like I said, I'm ignorant, but, it seems to me, if you're getting multiple Facebook charges in a single day your lover doesn't know anything about, you've done something scandalous (if you're hiding it from your partner). Am I right? or are Facebook charges normal, and normal to get numerous 50 cent charges on the same day?

Oh, also, I was greeted by my friend today, with "Someone shipped Ebay out of our Paypal account today for $5.05, only "X" has printed labels for us before, I can't believe "X" would do that". I told him it was strange someone could print a label from his Paypal for an auction he didn't sell, and I needed to look into it.

I looked at the Paypal Record after my friend left, by telling his boyfriend, I wanted to see how it was done to them, so I could prevent anyone from doing it to me. Turns out, after being led down a path that showed me everything but details until I asked to see the whole "recent history", there was a $6.75 credit for shipping, and then they took back $5.05 immediately after, so it was $1.70 favorable adjustment from Ebay Shipping, not an unauthorized $5.05 Label printed by someone else?

Unless they've bought something from Facebook, or used their facebook login to buy something somewhere else, get them to file a payment dispute.

Facebook is free, but there can be charges for games, apps or gifts. If they haven't bought anything like that, then the PayPal account could be compromised. In which case they should also cut it off from their credit card or account until the issue is resolved.

It sounds like the first part is your typical "in-app purchase", often called a micro-purchase, that is all the rage in the games you find in Facebook. And it is not uncommon at all for games to do this to you without your awareness. But it's pretty inoccuous to decide that, yes, you will pay 50 cents to get another life/another ten rounds of ammo/another 20 turns/another 60 seconds/another eight spells/etc.

Yea, I have no doubt, he's knowingly spending the money, I just wanted to be sure there wasn't a reason Facebook would be charging for Services (Other than as you said, Games, Aps, etc)

My friend's boyfriend is a major sneak and liar. My friend was trying to get money out of the Paypal Account, and it was denied, and his boyfriend claimed it was because of "someone stealing from them, using their Paypal account to ship something" (and only one person could've done it, and my friend was ready to rip her a new one for stealing from him). But, as I saw, no one took $5.05 from them, the Boyfriend was just using that side of the transaction (Credit $6.75/Debit $5.05; so favorable 1.70 Credit) to explain where the money went, that he spent apparently doing something on Facebook (My friend isn't computer literate, so, his boyfriend gets away with this crap all the time showing only half the story and hiding the real truth, and it's connected to my friend's Bank Account, which his boyfriend has already messed up several times)

You can also "sponsor" posts on Facebook so more people see the particular posts every day, rather than the post being lost in your timeline. Though, I'm not sure on the pricing arrangements.
