Wow! Excellent post, Guest! I was just thinking about some of the issues raised in that article. I will have to try and take some of the "remedies" to heart.

As an example, one situation I see is this: Darth Revan tries his best to come up with interesting new topics for discussion, but a fair number of responses are one-word posts. Revan often ends up having to remind people they should explain the "why" of their answers. One-word replies don't provide much intellectual fodder for discussion.

I'd go on, but I don't want to "dominate" the discussion (Problem #4). :)

I am a spam believer. One man's spam is another man's murder. or so I have heard. I am in awe of you Foul- King of corned beef.
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.
