I also love the OZ books too. The Gloops are great as well.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Having two older sisters, I loved the Ramona books. I can't wait to read them to my kids when they start getting into chapter books.
And I would probably have to put The Little Prince for myself.

Great stuff, people...

A friend and fellow-nerd (my Bible Study leader actually) has strongly recommended I read "The Little Prince"... unfortunately, when I got it out I just didn't get through it.

Iolanthe- Roald Dahl!
I love that guy's stuff, and so does my kiddo.
Dahl is so CRAZY - and having his brand of off-the-wall "wait, what just happened?" crazy, I think, is SO refreshing when real-world crazy is just too much...

Jenn- OZ! "The Wizard of Oz"... Yes!
I don't know what the Gloops are though. Did an Amazon search, and it's not yielding anything definitive...

Cags- Yay, Ramona. And yay, reading to the kiddoes! Sometimes I read my kid something that he's just read for his bedtime story... I'm like, "I know you just read it, but please?

Sorry for being so lagged in responding to this thread peeps..

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
