See, that's smart. If I get something that my cats take a liking to, I will never get a turn. "Oh, *your* pillow. That's cute. No, I sleep 23 hours a day. It was clearly meant for me."

Helldog is adorable.

She's adorable unless you are a 3 pound toy poodle or one of my poor Muslim neighbors trying to cross in front of the property for Friday night prayers. 8O

Oh, dear.

My newest isn't quite an attack cat, though I am still working through some bullying issues between her and her sisters, and here she is about to go medieval on her own fluffy tail:

I said this before, that there is one beautiful kitty. I would love to have a cat but it isn't in my future. Mya would have it as an appetizer.

Ankara was actually at the shelter due to fighting with a dog in her original family. She lacks basic cat-to-cat social skills as well, which is making things around here... interesting. We'll get there eventually.

She's very pretty, Sorus. If I had a tail like that, I'd be tempted to go medieval on it myself.

Mr. Wommy and the Lady Morgana have come to an understanding, mostly. They've even been spotted touching noses, although I suspect both would deny it if questioned individually. ;)

That's a very good sign. Yeah, it always works out eventually.

Though for all the effort I went through when I adopted Phèdre, determined to find a cat that would fit into my household with a minimum of drama, Ankara was purely a 'from the heart' choice.

Director Donner is NOT happy with Ankara being that close to her, and Ankara is either oblivious or she's being deliberately obtuse.

Have I posted pics of our cats in here? Can't remember.

Here's my favorite photo of the Lady Morgana. She turned her head at just the right moment. :)

And here's Mr. Wommy, showing off his ample personality.

BTW, the plastic tape on the barstool seat was supposed to keep Morgan from using it as a scratching post. When the kids left and took the cats with them (which lasted, oh, about 15 minutes...), I trashed those seat covers and got new ones just like them. And then the kids and cats moved back...so for now, the barstools are covered in the ugly plain white covers they came in. (Gotta love IKEA! )

They're adorable. I love tuxedo cats. Those little socks!

My original feral brood was very destructive, and I used to use something called 'Sticky Paws' (basically double-sided tape) to keep them from scratching furniture. It worked on three of them, but the fourth loved the way it felt and would sit there for hours, blissfully applying his paws to the tape and slowly peeling them away.

Mind you, he was the one who could spend an afternoon trying to lick a shadow off the wall...

Mr. Wommy has always been quite the charmer. It's saved his neck more times than I can count. Morgan, however, trades on her looks...

Morgan is very pretty, but she'd probably be jealous of my squeeing over Mr. Wommy's ikkle mittenses.

I have a soft spot for black and mostly-black cats.

Pencil Drawing

Post by lurch »

I over exposed a cloud shoot and succeeded in capturing the thin undulatus ( wavy) clouds resulting in photos that look like pencil drawings.

We've recently been adopted by another bloody waif, and he's totally moved in.

Our previous "primary" adoptive cat is very miffed about it, and she's spending considerably less time at home than before. Pops in once or twice a day to eat, and that's about it. She hasn't slept in the house for a couple of months.

The new one on the other hand was sleeping in our bed within a week. I really hope she comes to terms with it.

It's always a shock when a woman gets moved out of her bed by a younger prettier man. Sometimes she just doesn't feel desirable anymore and moves on to a new bed.
