Not really an acid head anymore, but a reader and an occasional writer (been lazy with that really).

Musician yes, but wish I had much more time to play and record.

Ah well, I'm of the opinion that even taking it once can change your perspective forever. Even at my advancing age (although not as advanced as yours if you saw the moon landing) I like to take some acid or Psilocybin every year or two, just to blow out the cobwebs. ;)

Yes, it definitely had a major impact on my life and I did quite a bit of recreational drug taking over a period of maybe 20 years or so. I don't do it anymore because I have a daughter and to me that was the point at which I felt I needed to stop and not go back to it. Sometimes I think I miss it, but I won't go back to it (but never say never... :) )

I saw the moon landing on TV, but it was about a week or so before my 5th birthday. I remember asking "what is it?" when everyone shouted for me to come and see what was happening on TV.

I can honestly say that I've never taken a recreational drug in my life - if you don't count nicotine. But I did see the moon landing, live, and the 1966 world cup final - live. Michaelm, I presume we are around the same age ? No, scrap that, I was already at secondary school when you were born. I also was born in the south of England, but moved north 41 years ago and now consider myself an adopted Lincolnshire yellow belly. :D

Sorry :offtopic:
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

England won the world cup on my second birthday! :D

I was born in Portsmouth and grew up there. Spent most of my life in the south of England, but I did travel around the country a lot for work (in theater).

Ah, hubby was born in Winchester and most of his family support Pompey, but my son and one of my grandsons support Southampton! I am an Essex girl by birth (no jokes please). As I explained to several people at the Efest, an Essex girl is the English version of "Dosey Bint" (in a Tennessee accent).

Just wanted to add to my list:

Watching live on TV the evacuation of the US Embassy in Saigon as it was being overran

Watching on live TV the Berlin Wall coming down

Seeing STS Challenger exploding while working outside in Tampa

Seeing Comet Kohoutek (visible even in the daytime)

Seeing Haley's Comet with my grandson
Have you hugged your arghule today?
