Thanks, Damelon! :)

You can get prescription sunglasses for really cheap at Zenni Optical.
www.zennioptical.com

Batty turned me on to this place. You give 'em your prescription, pick out your frames (which start off at, like, $7), and they send the glasses to you in a couple of weeks. I ordered a pair of sunglasses to keep in the car and they were less than $50 (I sprung for polarized lenses, which bumped up the price a bit).

Ugh, the thought of things being done to eyes turns my stomach. I don't envy you at all, Damelon. There are two films that show eyes being put out, I can never watch those bits.

It's official. Had my scan today and I have several small gallstones. I'm told that I can take tablets to get rid of them! I hope they're not the same tablets that the doc gave me last week as I've had to stop taking them. They have done very strange things to my bowels! I'm sure the lady who did the scan said that it was "only" gallstones which is a relief. There are worse things it could have been. :)

That *is* a relief, Io. And thank goodness you don't have to have surgery! :D

Hopefully. I have to ring my doctor on Wednesday or Thursday.

Felafel is Egyptian.

Or so it's thought.

In any case, it's not Greek in origin.

So today was the last class and tomorrow I head home. I had a blast. I learned so many new techniques. The teacher was great and turns out one of the most famous in metal smithing. My fingers are torn up. Today at lunch what I thought was a leaf landed on my head. Turned out to be a bee and it stung my left finger. I am left handed. So I couldn't finish a few of my pieces. But Im happy with what I did. The tree was a lot harder and I couldn't incorporate glass into it. That can only be done with silver. Anyway here are a few of the things I made. Uploading from here is almost impossible so I can only put a few up.

Really nice. I especially like the tree and the shells.

So exciting lorin!

Loving the first one and the shells... I'm like, "Did she form those herself or use some guide / a real shell / a mold?"

Very pretty, lorin. My favourite is the first one.

Yeah, the last one is the mens favorite...........I wonder why 8) The jewelry instructor says they are his biggest seller but he makes them in fine silver (and much more intricate) , these are bronze. Once I get a smaller kiln I will make you one.
