Also I rarely come into this thread anyway, not sure why.

In general you have to do something in the forum (or at least refresh the page) before the board will show you to yourself.

Going into a thread and using the "back" button to get out does not count.

I don't find that to be consistently true. I'll do something in the forum and see myself, then do something else in the forum and not see myself. I think it depends how much time you spend "doing something."

For example, after posting this and clicking to continue to the whole Gen. Disc. forum, I did not see myself. (And I did not use the back button to get back to the whole Gen. Disc. section.)
