If we break 4K every month this year, we have a chance of hitting a million total by this time next year.

No pressure. ;)

I've had no time for anything. Maybe in March work will clear up and I can get back to this, and writing, and...

Sorry, I've been doing other things too. Things are slowing down a bit more now - three free weekends ahead!!!

Today is "everybody go encourage a newbie day."
Find newbies producing interesting content, and comment thoughtfully on it.

No, just kidding... I've been slacking on engaging with our Watch newbs as much as anyone.
Haven't been reading TCoTC subgroups, either, lately.

But, seriously, I remember the days of my Newb-dom, and a comment to "me" from one of the "regulars" could spark 5 to 10 new posts from me in various places on the forum, I think.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

Everybody should encourage the new members always. :D

(That's encourage, not drive away screaming. ;) )

Don't forget the creative areas and existing boardmembers ("oldbies"?) who may have kept silent for a while. We cannot hope to increase traffic in these areas, if KW'ers don't actively step out of their "comfort zones" and comment and re-link. The least one can do is to pop in to say hello.

We're in danger of not reaching even 2000 posts this month; that's a massive decline from October's 4100 peak. The Tank, other non-fiction forums, and the kitten macro demesnes (;)) teeter not on the verge of becoming cricket cemeteries, it's the rest.

Also I don't think I received a reply to the question about the old hub page content dump. Was hoping it could be zipped and upped somewhere for perusal; at least the cover galleries could be incorporated into a new site structure.
