Thinking of... Effaeldm!
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."

Thank you... I'm sorry that I went beneath the surface like this -"real life" takes time and attention drastically, particularly with the current events and the fact that I've managed to get involved (well, not like I can do much on that anyway, of course) in a grand geopolitic disaster and the stuff related to it o_O

For that, you get a *HUG*!

No apology needed for that, really!

All of the above.

Although I see CovJr and Duchess on FB fairly often, and Dragonlily on Goodreads occasionally.

That's kind of so serious I don't know what to say.

I guess I'm kinda wondering how things are in your city/town, but I'm not sure how to ask that or if I should.

Ananda!

Stuff she's said has been so challenging to me - in a good way!

Also, I have totally quoted witty comments of hers over the phone to my sister!

Yep. As a recently returned MIA - and hopefully not temporarily so - I'd second (or is it third) shout outs (or shouts out, if you're Syl) for Ananda.

I enjoy her left-field take on things, plus of course Frosty needs a co-conspiratrix in her fevered plans to disseminate softcore urvile pr0n.
Newsflash: the word "irony" doesn't mean "a bit like iron"

Shockingly, some people have claimed that I'm egocentric... but hey, enough about them

Welcome back!

And also hoping Ananda's absence will be brief.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Nope, I have told her a bzillion times that Giant erotica will smite down 50 Shades of Sparklepires from its present high throne. Do not want slimy ur-snot on my pr0n, thank you so very much!

Welcome back, and now where's that bloody Swede...
