Ah, didn't know if the meeting was after her encounter with Kragen over the hop-board or before. :D

Ok, why did Gilbur hate the Congery? :D

Gilbur resented that the Congery was bound to rules created by a king who no longer seemed to care.

Was that really what he thought in his hearts of hearts? I had the impression he acted out as he did to draw attention to himself and to Eremis. He wanted to be stopped.

Hmmm, not what I was looking for. I was thinking of the specific event that had embittered him.

Was it because Joyce and Havelock arrived too late to save him from disfigurement?

Well, I was thinking because they saved his life, leaving him disfigured / partially crippled, but close enough for government work. :D

Your question. :D

Ok I guess it's my turn.

Saddith had an adventurous life. Through her arts she changed jobs and residences time after time. Detail them in full.

Well, I think Saddith started out washing clothes, and then tending gardens and sheep, all in her home village.
Then I think she came to Orison and had privy or latrine duty, then became a kitchen servant, then became a maid for the nobles and guests of Orison.

I may have missed a few of the steps in Saddith's career. I seem to recall that she revealed quite a bit of backstory in just a few sentences. I can't remember if she said it to Terisa alone or to Terisa and Geraden.

I actually don't know the answer to this question by heart. I remembered that sentence too and I remember many of the details (you definitely didn't mention all the info.) I'll track that sentence down this weekend unless someone else can post it sooner?

Hints for some missing details:

- From what area did Saddith originate from before coming to the capitol?

- We all know this but for completeness' sake, what were the final 2-3 steps of her career?

Saddith came from one of the smaller villages in the Demesne. In that village, she swept floors and fed chickens.
Then, she served ale at a tavern near where Mordant's army was encamped at the time.
After that, she was a scullion in Orison's kitchens.
Finally, she became one of Orison's maids.

Very good

(Her final 4 positions are Eremis' lover, Terisa's maid, Lebbick's temptation and rubble-rouser)

I hadn't looked at it that way, but it's all true!

I admit I peeked, but now we can all know that Saddith describes her past jobs and future ambitions near the beginning of "Master Eremis At Play", chapter 9 of TMOHD.

Good question, SS! Here's mine:
In the conversation between Prince Kragen and Nyle that was overheard by Terisa, Geraden, and Ribuld, what did the Prince say he wanted Nyle to do?

He was supposed to rally the lords of the Cares to Kragen and Elega's side.

No, that's not really it (though I admit it sounds good). What I'm looking for is: who does Kragen want Nyle to visit and what is the message that he wants Nyle to give?

If you can answer the who and what, you've got it! :)

Hint: the "who" is one of the lords of the Cares.

Nyle was to go to the Perdon and offer him the kingship of Mordant.

Nexter question: What do we know about the origins of imagery (history-wise)?
