Good to have you back, sis. Wow, a recent spotting of Sea here and now Jenn. Fantastico! Now if we can just get Cov Jr. back, Matrixman, and some others, it would feel like the band is back together.
Right? :D

Soooo... today my boss was even more scatter brained and frustrating than usual. I didn't have the heart to get on him about it all that much because the guys were all up in his grill. Frustrating day for all but there were some awesome moments. Art was playful with me and that's always nice since he's my most reticent guy and Jon cracked me up with mutual teasing of Tj that made me squirt tears of laughter out of my eyes. Tj had a perfect circle of grease on the very end of his nose so when he came over and gave me a hard time about the car he was working on I asked Jon if he liked tj's clown makeup. Tj got a really annoyed face and Jon said, "Oh,frowny face, are you Puddles the Sad Clown?" and Tj got all annoyed even more and walked away. It totally made me laugh. Then later Art was calling for Tj and was yelling "Puddles, hey Puddles." Too funny. Tj was laughing about it by the end of the day so it was all good.

Tomorrow I plan to work on getting the final few of my boxes dealt with since I now have new motivation to get that room empty of crap and furnished with guest stuff. I'll see how much I get done before it's time for GAME OF THRONES" motivated dinner for the season premiere down at Danlo and Lady Tam's place.

My random act of kindness for the day....

My co-worker had really bad allergies today and was really suffering and he kept blowing his nose on the industrial rough cheap toilet paper we have at the shop. I got him a box of puffs plus with aloe and left it on his tool cart when he wasn't looking. He totally knew it was me and came up to me and said, "Thanks, I really appreciate how considerate and caring you are." I said, "Thanks back at you for the compliment."

A month ago when his son was having a tonsillectomy and tubes put in his ears he was all worried and stressed and I got him a floating remote control shark for him an his son to play with while Isaiah was recovering. He was so wowed and appreciative it was really sweet. Plus he was psyched at how cool the toy was. I just thought it would be fun for the both of them and keep Isaiah from getting bored. Isaiah is an adorable second grader with excellent manners. The next time he was in he came up and thanked me for the shark. So adorable. Anyway, it's the little things like a box of soft tissue when you need it that really can make a difference in your day. :D

I'm tired. It's been a long week. I have too many chores to be a layabout tomorrow but at least I have Game of Thrones dinner at Danlo and Lady Tam's house for my evening relaxation.

I was being tired and whiny and had told Lady Tam via phone that I was bailing on GOT dinner and she was cool with it since she had a long day too but then my phone rang at quarter to seven and it was Danlo saying I was not allowed to bail and that it wasn't GOT night without me and I better get my ass down there ASAP so I grabbed some shoes and ran down the street to their house and I am glad I did. Danlo and I can converse and muse about what is to come since we have both read the books but Lady Tam hasn't so we have to have secret conversations behind her back and I also get the pleasure of watching her reaction when events unfold since she is seeing it for the first time without knowing what is to come. Tonight had her gasping several times and saying NO WAY!!! I loved it.

I can't imagine watching without having read the books.

The GF usually refuses to read a series until it is complete. After she watched season 1 of GoT though, she made an exception and read the series up to current. :D

Huh, now she just complains about when the next book will be out. And of course, they'll soon be filming the next season...before the next book comes out...I'm pretty dubious. (Not that I've really been watching myself.)

I haven't read the books and I'm about 4 episodes in on season 1 of Medieval Celebrity Apprentice....I mean, Game of Thrones.
I tried reading the books at one point, but was going through a very devastating breakup at the time, and couldn't concentrate at all and gave up. They've been burning a hole in my bookshelf ever since.

They're mostly good...some of the later ones get a bit boring though.

Boring? Really? I would have to disagree. And Av, you really should try giving the series a serious watch, Sunday's episode was exceptionally good in that it had a lot of moments of revelation which in turn bring up a whole new round of questions for the watchers of the show that haven't read the books. :P

Yes, boring. :D Feast For Crows and Dance With Dragons were both mostly "meh."

As for the series, I've watched enough of it to see how much is changed. And since any revelations are known to me, having read the books, and any which aren't in the books have no interest for me, I don't really see the point.

The only real question is whether the next book will be out before the next season of the series. And even if it is, given his score so far, it's pretty damn improbable that the last book will be out before the season after that, and that's not good.

Dammit AV, you are such an elitist when it comes to literary snobbery, can't you just like a thing for the thing itself?

Hahaha, sorry, if you want to base a show or movie on something I'm gonna complain about all the things you change. :D
