Sighs and hugs.
On my end, I've been having an up kind of week... some good stuff, and I've been reading & thinking about stuff that's interesting.

Had a birthday party for my kiddo (supposedly it was for him at least), where I got to see a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years. :)
Heading out soon to meet some people at a park / garden / museum place this afternoon, wooo!

How long till you take off, lorin?

I am leaving on the 7th of June and retuning on July 10th. Long trip which is the reason for my concern about my stamina.

I've always wanted to go to Europe. What's your itinerary?

Should be in Florida at the moment on holiday, but we had to cancel due to my son having an emergency removal of his appendix.

Op went well, and he's recovering well, but really disapointed not to be in Florida.

Re-booked for next year though, so the countdown begins again.

One thing this has taught me is that some companies have much better customer service than others.

Virgin Atlantic were excellent, allowing us to re-book, even though they didn't have to. Car hire was booked through a reward scheme, and their attitude was "tought luck" you've lost your reward points.

Glad to hear Virgin Atlantic customer service lived up to their title. Not surprised regarding the rental car agency.

Lorin, have a great time in Barcelona. I know someone who lives there!

Feeling quite pleased with myself. I needed a new powerpoint presentation but my friend who usually does them for me is just getting over chemo so had to do it myself. I even managed to get yellow highlights wiping across photos and lines appearing when I click! Gave the talk tonight and it went well.

That's my excuse for not being here for a while. :D
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

Little bit jealous, but glad you had a good time.

I saw one of my other favorite bands last night - even went with a fellow Watcher. So that was fun too.

I posted some details in Vespers - but okay - I saw Ego Likeness (one of my top-five favorite bands - their music inspired half my profile including my signature, as well as at least two of my character names in WoW) - and Voltaire, and an opening act that I don't remember the name of, but it was a burlesque show - this is where details come in handy and prevent potential awkwardness - but I still would have invited Luci because she probably expects that sort of thing from me by now.

Leaving Nigeria today, just as the country is shutting down due to lack of fuel. In fact, we could even be stranded if the plane needs jet fuel and there isn't any-- domestic airlines have already shut down, and cell phone service and banks have truncated services. Fun times!!!
