I avoid MMORPGs for the same reason...

Plus I can't get over the whole "monthly fee to pay" thing. I'm too used to paying once for a game and being done with it. I'm cheap. :P

With the new system that allows you to buy your subscription with in-game currency, my days of paying real-life money to play are over.

And Av, as to problem #1, you would probably have to recruit your girlfriend too. That's okay. A lot of couples play.

That would probably be appropriate. It would also likely kill the conversation. :P

Besides, I'm required to hijack at least one thread per month. It's in my contract.

Damn right, no breaching of contract here thank you.

As for 1), hahaha, no chance. The only game she ever liked was Neverhood. (I'm going to get her Armikrog. :D ) (Oh, and she quite liked the Discworld game as well.)

Was is probably more appropriate: Rincewind is voiced by Eric Idle. :D

Code: Select all

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworld_(video_game)
(Stupid parenthesis in Wiki URLs...)

You can find it on abandonware sites, and it runs in DosBox. It's not very big IIRC, if you want it, I can drop-box or WeTransfer you the zip.

It's quite tough actually. :D

I still exist. Might not post very frequently though.

Really? Huh, interesting.

Do we need to rename "Kevin's Watch" to the "Facebook and/or World of Warcraft Forums" as a way to bring people back?

Yay, owly existing!
Missed havin' ya around.

(Wow, at first I read that as "I might still exist.")
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

I think that might result in an army of robot lawyers at your door. (They have that, right?) Even my guild's forum has gone over to the Facebook side, alas.

Your girlfriend clearly has good taste, and would therefore likely enjoy WoW.

:shifty:

I'll probably check it out at some point - don't want to get into anything new right now, but thanks!
