Congratulations Linna! I have a close friend who has had months of chemo and had a mastectomy last Thursday. She has radiation to come.
And I just remembered that it is August 3rd. On this day last year I gave up smoking, and haven't had a cigarette since, although I'm still vaping. I can't begin to list all the health issues that have gone away, and some of them you really wouldn't want to know anyway.

I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

Well done Anne!! From what I understand this is not easy.
First day back at school. Just meetings and prep until Thursday, when the students come.

School opens tomorrow. After 3 days of going crazy I feel my classroom and mind are ready for 20 children tomorrow. Now I have to scare the crud out of them for 2 weeks so they'll behave the rest of the year. I can't do it, though. I like the critters too much!!
Still, I do run a pretty tight ship and find that the kids and I are happier that way because they know what to expect and I can feel satisfied that we are getting stuff done.
I'll be playing an acoustic set of praise songs in Chapel this Sunday with a British dude. Stag of the Dawn runs a summer camp next week. Good stuff!!

Yeah... it seems really good.Savor Dam wrote:Great news on completing your course of therapy. Don't worry about separation angst, celebrate getting an additional portion of your time and life back. A bit less stress too, as you move closer to full remission.
Prayers to the God who made us all are good. I'm never quite sure what people mean when they say "sending light," and therefore not quite sure what to say..Savor Dam wrote:Just keep the routine monitoring visits up. We out here will keep up the prayer / sending of Love and Light.

Iolanthe- your friend's were rough.. rougher than mine... :-/ but yay for her being done with some incredibly rough stuff.
Also, yay for bunches of health issues going away in the time you've been not smoking!

I need to do like that.
I am working on my plan for this year's homeschooling... (And starting early with some subjects.) We are especially excited about art lessons.

Sonny passed today. I posted a thread about.
I should be sleeping so I can go to work tonight.
Julie had already taken the day off, she isn't feeling well.
I am trying for two jobs near my old unit. (I worked at Ramsey I and these jobs would be Ramsey III) one is laundry and one is food service.
it has got to the point that an inmate who has worked for me for a year or two asked what was wrong - he said I looked so unhappy to be there. it must be time to go when that happens. 5 years on this unit, 10 years at my old unit.

I don't feel like doing anything!
I continue to have fun doing art with my kids in the mornings... but I just feel like crashing now.
There are better and more productive things I could be doing, but I think I'm gonna read for a bit now..

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
