I used to have a bear-trap memory - to the point where I could quote stuff at length after only seeing/reading it once. I don't know when that started to change, and that bothers me a bit. My memory isn't bad now, but it's nothing like it used to be.

I will not mention how many times I've re-read all the Malazan books. :D

What a week...

Got to work on Wednesday, to find the geyser had burst, and the office was a couple inches deep in water.

We got off light though...the guys downstairs had major damage. Still it messed up our day, and rolling black-outs continue as the power utility attempts to meet demand with it's unmaintained and gutted by corruption over the last 10 years grid.

On the plus side...finally got my home PC working and installed etc. Benchmarked Rome II Total War at an average of 175 fps. :D

Whooot whooot well done on the computer and .. what is that? Your operating speed? LOL 😂

THAT sounds sucky. Did they have to strip the office?

No wonder youve been MIA .. we were just about to send out a scouting party 😉

And luckily, no, although a lot of cleaning up has to happen.

We got to see our grandson
Zeke for the first time in years.
We are praying this will continue.

We are exploring selling our house,
Buying land and putting a house there.

We are seeing an Iron Maiden tribute
Band tomorrow night. The Iron Maidens.

Ugh. I was working in the dark most of the week because there was a power fault in the motion detector for our lighting system, and no manual switch. They finally fixed it yesterday (after I managed to set a pallet down on my foot; I really need to invest in a good pair of steel-toe boots).

My mantra for most of the week was at least it isn't sewage/water coming out of the walls. Or ceiling.

:LOLS:

Only you could flip a painful and irritating experience into a ... well it could be worse ... story.

I like that .. tbh .. but 8O ouch.. how the foot? 😬

Yes Im surprised they dont require steel toed boots if you work with pallets and such

Yeah, it could be worse has basically been my mantra for the last 10 years or so.

Not necessarily a good thing because it makes me afraid to take any sort of risk that might lead to things being better.

As many as the rest of us put together?

And that's a disgusting level of FPS. I am envious. Usually between 30-60 in WoW.

Honestly, I'm the same way. I usually have to have someone push me out of a bad situation, but once you do, and you actually find a good place, it makes it all so much worth it.

Until that job sours and you've got to flee again.

Hey Sarge, thats great! I never had a very close relationship with my Grandparents (both of my parents are kinda black sheep) but I would have welcomed it at any time when I was younger! Really hope that works out.

Whats the band?

You guys made me think of Brazil... I gotta add that to my movie list to show my fiance, she's got little movie experience.

Working on some handpies for a potluck at my babe's work. Anyone else do this at their job?

I like baking tho, so I'm feeling pretty good. Aced a job interview, so I'm hoping I hear back soon!

Haha, yeah, that's pretty much what it looked like. :D

Good luck with the job. And no, we don't do that at work. :D

Anyway, Friday, hooray. And it's my birthday on Wed, which we get off, so I have taken off Monday and Tuesday for an extra long weekend. :D

Thanks Av! They offered it to me just an hour ago! Full time, but temp which is perfect for us right now. Get a little nest egg and start looking at land/house.

Enjoy your birthday weekend!! Any special plans? I don't do much on my bday, board games and donuts is traditional haha
